A smidge over budget, but should be back in to budget easily enough

Not sure about a white M5.
No mention of mileage in the ad.
I really like that - I generally don't like anything bigger than an old 3 size but that ticks all the boxes for me...plus alcantara and sunroof with aircon
I just couldn't do that car in that colour. Pity really, because apart from that it looks decent.

Following some Monaco-shaped inspiration that cropped up in the Barge thread, this popped up on a related search.

How cool does it look with those Speedlines?

Sometime in the mists of time when I was still at school on a visit to Capel Curig for "adventurous training", I got a lift across Snowdonia from a young army officer in a GT Turbo, a hoot!

Overpriced.

Not real, rubbish wheels and has sprayed it raider blue and put in non raider seats, granted he hasn't suggested anything to the contrary but it still not worth £5000.

On a side note the stance bmw with collapsed suspension would make me run a mile.

I had one of these (but 3.8) in white, and, in the flesh, rather nice imposing car.

Aye, but a 5 is at least double thread budget.

E34 feel pretty small by modern standards anyway. they certainly don't feel much heftier than a 36 to drive when set up right.

That is particularly lovely.

Other than a similar sized engine, 12mpg and greenish hue this crass land yacht has little in common with the above.

With an astonishing 28hp / litre I'm surprised it manages to tick over. And yet I find I'd rather like to trundle about in it. Even if only briefly before getting back into the Royce and pottering off home.

Lovely thing indeed, but it's a lot more than 28hp/litre - 7 litres producing 375hp = 53.

Regardless of dodgy maths and geeky engine stats, that car is cool as fk. I absolutely love it.

Given a choice of only one, it would have to be the Royce because I just don't have the tattoos, fat belly and exotic facial hair to really make the Cadillac work as it should, but as a summer cruiser it would be epic. Imagine taking it to Waitrose...!

7.7 litres producing 220 hp is 28

Either way, it a large lazy engine perfectly suited to yomping over the huge USA.

It's how the power is measured. In 1971 it is 375 bhp and 1972 it's measured at 220 hp SAE due to the changes in how power is measured. It's the same engine as before. Either way it's a poor amount of power from such a large capacity. It's also very cool and I'd love to cruise around in it!

The US used to measure hp at the crank - 345hp SAE Gross
but in '71/'72they dropped their less than useful measure and fell in line with the rest of the world and quoted SAE net - 220hp which takes into account transmission losses etc.

Not my beard. I borrowed it from google smile

Late R129 SL500, pair of new wings and paint needed so probably 1250 or so, and maybe new shocks/top mounts all round for another 1k but has panoramic roof and seller sounds genuine. Decent value at 8k.
