Is that an ipad holder? What is it mounted to?
I was "upgraded" to an A-Class hire car. I honestly thought the ipad was the hire-company's sat-nav add on. Well untill I turned the ignition on and the 3-pointed star lit up on it. My mouth dropped in utter surprise that any vehicle manufacturer thought that is a good design.daemon said:

That is bloody awful. Not just the colour scheme, but the whole layout. Pure comedy.
From the man with a pram handle boot spoiler on his car?And you cant be that fussy about interiors - i see you had an x type estate at one point.
But pram handle. Is that the best you can do?

Yes, thats what they were known as back in the 1990s when they where fashionable for a time I think its bad form to have a crack at the guy for his own personal choice on his P&J.
I personally wouldnt have that on a Jag. Clearly some people feel differently.

The irony is strong with this one.
Not like it when someone criticises yours then? Not like your own medicine?
If you cant take it, dont dish it out pal.
Very bad form to weigh in with the comments you did.
It's a personal taste thing, I happen to like it. The screen on the dashboard is nicely positioned and doesn't offend me, I guess it's different when you are sat behind the wheel enjoying the drive.
Thought I'd share for people to see a rarely ordered combination as I hadn't found any pictures on the internet.
I have a friend who loves their blue rinse colour Skoda Roomster, it takes all sorts...
Edited to add yes I am pretty sure the Garmin map pilot came with one of the packs, but unsure I didn't order it specifically.

Grand. We didnt order it, but the car is pre-wired for it, so going to just get the card plugged in for it.
Originally my plan was to change my phone to an iphone 7 to get the nav functionality through it, but i'm an android man at heart so going to stick with my Galaxy.
To be honest I think your phone would probably do a better job. If I have it (the sales person mentioned a garmin sd card linked to the car), it thought the Shell station by me was BP. It's not been one for over 10 years and apparently costs £500 to update.
The brown on the dash makes a change that's for sure.

You can get a genuine card on amazon for around £200, or on ebay people are selling supposedly genuine cards for around £75. They do work though according to the feedback on them. The brown on the dash makes a change that's for sure.
I bought this very car in January 2018 at 7000 miles for £34,000. I had no idea it had been a press car, indeed, I was told it had been a demonstrator, until I asked the local MB dealership for a spec sheet and saw 'press' on it. The dealership remarked on the completeness of the specification and when they checked it found absolutely nothing wrong with it. I looked for it in the reviews and found it here.
As the reviewer writes, it does without the unnecessary aerofoils. If it had been equipped with them, I doubt if I would have considered it. As with everything to do with appearance, one's judgement can only be subjective, but they look too 'boy-racer' for my taste. One of the comments describes the colour as a wrap applied badly. The finish is perfect so the adverb does not apply. To my eye, the matte finish enhances the swage lines and understates the car's potency, making it, for this driver at least, an attractive and subtle little racer.
It drives very well. The distronic cruise control requires an element of faith and my foot hovers above the brake pedal just in case, but it's a useful addition. The various warnings indicated in the door mirrors make one even more aware of potential hazards. Just a touch of a button can change it from a Jekyll to a Hyde.
Every journey in this car is a joy and I am delighted to have found it.

Good to hear back about the car, and that its now with a PHer. As the reviewer writes, it does without the unnecessary aerofoils. We've had ours 15 months now and 13,000 miles with no issues to report so far. It took two front tyres at around 11,000 miles at £160 each which didnt seem expensive compared to £250 a corner for the 370Z GT.
Whilst ours has cruise it doesnt have distronic, which is un-nerving because the Passat does and sometimes in the A45 you forget it doesnt....
Spec wise, i dont otherwise think we'd change much. We've only had a the pan roof open (or even the blind open) a couple of times but aesthetically the black roof breaks up the red bodywork so we're happy enough.
Performance is stunning, and as you say, every journey is a joy!
