Is Shmee150 going to be the new Chris Harris?
Discussion
God no. It's like watching and listening to a young David Cameron.
He isn't as hateful as some of these rich kid vloggers but his films do seem to be more focussed on expensive cars purely because they are expensive, investment, lifestyle and crap like that rather than being the type of true petrolhead stuff that Harris does.

i couldn't care less for all the hypercars personally (generally speaking). ive only ever watched the videos that have him talking about his rover mini.He isn't as hateful as some of these rich kid vloggers but his films do seem to be more focussed on expensive cars purely because they are expensive, investment, lifestyle and crap like that rather than being the type of true petrolhead stuff that Harris does.
someone went as far as to make an instagram account for spotted pictures of his mini, which i think is odd. (although if it's one of his alt accounts then fair enough, I'd do the same)

Shmee does very well out of videos which cost him peanuts to put together, mainly because of his own car collection.
Even if you ignore the price of the cars, it costs a small fortune to keep Shmee150 rolling. Cars being transported on mass across Europe on lorries, where Tims 20something mates get to drive them. I don’t know if his mates provide the insurance and fuel, but if they don’t... Gumball rally, flights, hotels, book launches, wraps, detailing, repairs, tyres, fuel, servicing, camera equipment... Yes a lot is subsidised/freebies, but I bet a lot is not. Peanuts, it does not cost.Deisel Weisel said:

I eagerly await the next YT instalment where we will probably watch him having a poo. or similar.
So you’re familiar with Tim's other YT channel then? His other secret YT channel, that pays the Shme150 bills (to answer RSK21’s question). There are millions of pervs worldwide willing to pay to watch Shmee take a pee. David Coultard included.I've respect for both Shmee and CH, both I think do their thing quite well.
I'll be honest though, I rarely make it all the way through a Shmee video. He's some stonking cars, and I appreciate him showing us round them, but where CH will take them to a track and then send them sideways round every corner while telling us how brilliant hte driving experience is and why, Shmee seems to instead show us him driving through London, or on an autobahn somewhere, or a convoy somewhere. Not only quite mundane stuff, but also doesn't often convey the driving experience as well as CH (sometimes not even talking about the driving, but an update on what he's upto the next few months).
As has been said, Shmee seems to be a car enthusiast, and good on him. As I said, nice to see some cool cars in detail. But he's not a journalist like CH, and so I suspect CH spends time and effort making it entertaining, and he's got a knack for it.
Different strokes for different folks I guess, nothing wrong in principle with either.

Shmee makes videos about cars as expensive luxury consumer goods. Harris makes videos about driving cars. Completely different niche.
i would say amateur / enthusiast V racing driver / driving godsure there is a lot of waffle but like Harry's garage he covers the tiny details on the cars, the stuff most of us will never see and the normal auto media never cover

Just me that thinks of this:
Ditto, we are old though !I must say that Schmee used to grate on me, still does but have to say he came across as a real gent on here despite some of the horrible stuff people said about him, ok perhaps a bit of public relations but a lot of Youtube blogger types would really spit their dummy out at the first sign of negativity, that Aleem bloke for example, comes across as a spoilt little boy, no class whatsoever.
He isnt a bit like David Cameron, puts me more in mind of a younger Aled Jones, good luck to him I say, he has his market and there is a bit of crossover it being cars but I guess I am not really his target audience.
