MOT history looks alright - I suspect a fussy tester by the "surface corrosion". Nice colours and appropriately gingered as well.

This is for sale near to me, looks OK in photos and I had a brief walk round but can do some more investigation if required. MOT history not great but seen worse.

Now that I like a great deal. The MOT history is not the end of the world. Can you expand on your comments? (Please.)
To me I wouldn't say that mot history was bad

I just spat out my coffee: this was the w124 that I most regretted not buying.

I'm off to get the missus the nicest bunch of flowers I can find!

Yes, if not too late, not back until Tuesday though.

If genuine that looks pretty cheap to me

Just catching up after a week away.

Bad news on the star, but they're a cheap and easy fix. I had to replace mine; it cost about £35 I think, and is an easy and satisfying plug and play job.

Contrasting off-road (sort-of) barges. One over-budget, the other haggle-able.

You need never worry about car park dings ever again.

So the mini needs some love and attention. Which has given me a great excuse to be reminded how fabulous a place this is to spend the miles...

That does indeed look very nice. One of these or a late 300se Benz is my next purchase. Good LS400 are becoming harder to find.

I've got an ebay special for a tenner just in case it's going to become a regular event frown

I really like the look of that. I might fix the XJ8 and move it on and purchase one.

Dumb question - as I still haven't managed to work out how to do it with the Jag. Can you fit a bluetooth radio thingie easily in an LS400?

I do find it useful for catching up on The Archers via podcast, and making 'thrusting' type phone calls.

I appeal to the Thread's thoughts on this matter.

For now I am not. Mainly because it will require me acquiring some form of rebadging adhesive which I do not have, and don't actually know anything about. r129sl kindly provided the correct diagram though so I know where it needs to go.

Edit: I'd also like opinions on whether I should re-amber with the dark ambers rather than the mid ambers at the front I have now. To be brief the story behind this was my mechanic having a fire which marginally melted one of the front lenses, and not being able to find the early ambers.

I have grown to like these on the car now.

Of course. SOTW budget 700 mile round trips are always amusing. Mix it with a curry and beer and you can't lose.

Ps full ambers and correct badging for me. But I'm an originality nerd.
