Lovely, but 40K euro? Some price.

All Time Stars is the trading style of the Museum or Classic Centre. The cars are nice: but not that nice. While it might be a stretch to say you could do just as well for a tenth of the price, I certainly think you could for one fifth. But I guess part of their strategy is to make the market. As CdeG has observed, they are appreciating our assets.

Man maths: EXTREME EDITION

Why would you drive a car that will depreciate?

Why would you drive a Jag that only gives you half the Jaaaaaaag experience, when you could go full-fat!

V12, 1980s goodness. A good haggle would probably bring you down to sub £5k!

V12 XJS - £5,790

Good find. Not 100% sure but that looks the same colour as my Series 3 XJ12 was - Sage Green. B707 LPG. One of my top 3 motors.

I like that quite a lot. It made the Sawyer scale move slightly

For the fuller Jaguar experience go for the V8! Excellent man maths there. Add the increased expected repair costs of the diesel and you will be ahead (going too far?)

They say you can't polish a turd...

... but you can roll it in glitter.

That's properly rotten.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for one of these. A Lexus with a hint of menace and purpose unlike their usual gangly, nose high stance common of the age. Plus I'm a sucker for a staggered setup.

I like that. Great-looking car, and if it's all legit, fantastic value too.

Don't understand why it's not £4k as mentioned!

Further to X350 talk above, what was the 3.6 V8 like? Tragic leaper aside I like this one.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017... £3k pre-haggle, looks like a good machine. No MOT history as the plate is now on an XF sadly.

The Lexus and the C6 are both lovely things, in their own ways.

Speaking of Lexuses, not so much the car but the mirror function:

Lexus

(Ignoring the overblown pics and ridiculous 'zorsts, I do like it.)

In fairness, I nicked that from Idiot Gap, but either way it can only be a good sign. Importantly, it might make some of the border-line cases worth investing-in and saving.

I note that Silverstone Auctions offloaded an SLC for nearly 18 grand, so am hoping that it's a sign of my astute taste and unerring eye for a bargain.

Ultrasonic Vibrating mirrors you mean? They are quite cool. Mine doesn't have that feature.

I do wish people wouldn't badge them as Lexus though. There is no such car as a Lexus Soarer!

A couple of retro barges (albeit one's a 330k manual) that might find favour here.
