Similar dash in the S Class. In that it's lovely. I'm guessing it's just the light etc.

I want to love AMG's. I really do, and I appreciate that many people love them for being a "hooligan" car. It might just be me....but this looks hideous, as does the current C-Class and the A45.

Probably in a minority of one on this as well - I just don't like the AMG 'sound'. I prefer a high-revving screamer noise or a lovely flat 6 Porsche sound. Virtually things of the past now though.

Having said all of that, I think AMG fans are going to love this car. It will be interesting to see a group test between RS6/E63S and M5, all of which will be 4WD and 600+ HP.

The group test won't be interesting because it will be the new 63 against the old RS,m5. I hope bmw really push the boat out.

No they'll wait for the new M5. Isn't it due in 2017 anyway?

Drove an f10 m5 recently and that already felt antisocially quick, can't imagine what this thing must feel like!

I am not big fan of a "boat" fascia in the new E63AMG with that big monitor and ridiculous lighting (and blue, ffs).

I kind of like the previous E63AMG S. It's much more traditional inside, maybe even old-fashioned. And it has 5.5L with less power than the 4.0. Still, I like it.

Would be nice to have an IMPARTIAL comparison between the new E63AMG S and the old one.

You can change the colour and brightness of the ambient lighting in the Merc just as you can in a number of its contemporaries.

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if that were possible...only why do I need a disco in a car?
Personally, all this ambient "light-ification" and digitalization is going too far. More and more settingzz and whatnot for you to "play around with", imho too infantile.
