To be fair I think my own car counts in this thread.
Rusting on my drive as a non runner for ten years!

Should have went to the scrappers ages ago.

To those who posted about the Saab graveyard near Manston Airport i noticed over the last two weekends its been cleared up sadly.

this Old defender has been sat here 18 years at least, looks in much worse condition now.

I posted these in the classics section, but might as well post them here too. Local car dealer has had these sat out the back for well over ten years. He'd rather let them rot than go to anyone. A friend enquired about the Mk1 Civic a couple of years ago and was told he wouldn't let it go for less than £3k and he probably wouldn't sell anyway. Whilst not abandoned in the proper sense, he has no interest in them, they have been dumped in his yard and I can't see them going anywhere anytime soon. The mk1 CRX makes me sad, and the 2 Fiestas are interesting as they have consecutive plates. WOD 7X and WOD 8X, but records show they haven't been on the road since 1996 so they're likely beyond saving.

It makes no sense in why anyone would do this, unless it's for a collection, and even then you would look after them.

The newest one (i.e fewest time since off the road) is the Golf, which drove it's last mile in 2006.

Saw this abandoned one today. From the surroundings i guess it was left in a panic.

Quite a find and fascinating, for me anyway. Tax expired on 01/07/1994 (assuming the plate is LJL175P) which would have made it 18 years old at that time. Surely it would have had some worth warranting effort to unstuck it.

The values of early two door Range Rovers would probably make that worth restoring. They're only bolt on body panels, it's not a monocoque so everything comes apart like a Meccano kit.

A few
Nissan Figaro - From looking at the streetview history hasn't moved since about 2011

Toyota Celica - Again doesn't seem to have moved since 2012 or so.

Finally the Land Rovers (one behind and one next to the 101 Forward Control)...although the 101 has been off the road since at least 2011

The golf was still there a few weeks ago, along with the green Peugeot, both full to the roof of crap inside too!
