This thread reminded me of the below Peugeot:

About 6 weeks ago, the owner parked it in the pub car-park right next to our house. He hasn't been back to it since. I have just checked the DVLA site and lo-and-behold the MOT expired 22.10.16 and the Tax at the end of November. I guess the owner has conveniently forgotten about it, rather than making any arrangements to get it back on the road or scrapped. It's the pub's problem now, of course.

There's a second part to this story. Several months ago the same car was left for a couple of weeks on our private road directly outside our house. There was a business card with a name visible on the dashboard, so I called the company and the HR lady informed that the guy had recently left the company, but that she still had his contact details and would pass on the message. Sure enough, a couple of days later he came back and drove the car away.

What sort of person just dumps their car on somebody else's property for weeks on end?

What did it fail on? Apply for the log book, fix it and sell it? biggrin

Not the best of pictures, but this was just up the road from where we used to live. It was there when we moved in 2009 and looked like it had been there a long time before.

It is, from what I know it's been parked up for about 15 years, sadly I doubt it's worth doing anything with, I'm going up in the next few weeks so will have a proper look and see if I can get some info on it
Thought it was, always saw it but never had the opportunity to have a look around it find any info. 15 years is along time. especially the weather it will have endured. shame.

Find me a 1-3 yr old modern popular car which has been properly dumped, e.g covered in moss and not moved an inch in those years and then we'll see.

Have a walk around the underground carpark in Casino Square, Monaco and you'll see plenty which haven't moved for years. Keep meaning to have a walk around there with a camera - from memory there's an abandoned V12 Vantage, Audi A8 and X5 4.8.

I've walked past this for a good few years now, with it getting greener and greener with moss. According to streetview it's been here since 2009, pic is from streetview in 2014.

That makes me sad. Like it's an old persons car outside a nice little bungalow and they're bed-bound inside, the car sits outside waiting to be driven to the seaside or somewhere nice. frown

What about this on the same street? Does it get used regularly?

Here's another that I drive past.

There's now an Aston Martin DB7, and TWO more examples of that Audi, all covered in tarps.
Can't imagine the wife being happy

Anyone know what the car is?
I think I've got the plate (YDF 251) but I could ve mistaken. Eurocarparts brings up nothing.

Crikey, what street is that?
Just have a scroll around. It will soon come to you.
An alleyway, off Gordon Road, West Bridgeford

The Xantia on the lawn hasn't moved, to my knowledge, in the time that I've lived nearby. We moved there in 2011.

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.0065511,-3.11630...

But, if you go back to the 2009 shot, it's being used!

Edit: only been SORN and no MOT since April 2013. I must try harder!
