I've just read it cover to cover.

You sir have a fantastic taste in cars - an absolutely great read!

And just to bring this back to people's minds - proceeds go to charity. I'm happy the money spent is going to such a good cause.
Ditto - finally had time to sit and read both.

Ordered both books. Turns out I had 30 badger in my Paypal account that I'd completely forgotten about, so that cost 6quid. Nice!

Trying to work how I missed this thread, I've got some of the other books published by posters here. Slipped through the net I suppose. Nevertheless looking forward to having a read. Love stories of owning interesting cars.

If you have read the chapter in my new book about my meetingSenna in 1986, I was never exactly sure when it was.
Shuffling through an old 1986Autosport last night gave me confirmation of the date

That must be a good feeling having book 1 sell out, for a second time.

Well done with the books. Very worthwhile cause.

Reminds me of the one time I met Senna. It was at Silverstone in '93 when I was 16 or 17. He was testing a McLaren. I don't think there were any other teams that day. I had dropped by the fuel station, the old one which was at the Woodcote end of the pitlane, and was filling some jerry cans in the back of a van. I looked into the paddock at the red and white McLaren transporter, and there was a figure sitting alone on the steps. He had slipped his red overalls off his shoulders and the arms were tied around his waist. It was completely tranquil. Somehow, there was no-one else around. I suppose the team was all buzzing around the car in the garage. As the truck was near the Woodcote end of the paddock, I walked towards it. Sure enough, the figure sitting on the transporter steps was Senna. He looked up. As I walked towards him, he stood up. Then I found myself face to face with him. What can I say about it? A unique moment. The still air permeated by a sense of quiet awe. He held out his hand. "Is it really you?" he asked.
It must have been quite a moment for Senna!

Received all orders above !

This ad from 1974 brings back good memories...sent to me by Jeff Simpson who bought the GTB
He was the clever boy....in Book 2 you can see what he sold it for !!!

Remember though inflation was X 16.
