Has it hit the U.K. Yet? Mine was delivered of Wednesday and within 10 minutes all 3 points were set up. Due to it being Mesh and not abnormal extender these have fixed so many wifi issues in my house including all the dead spots.

I'm sure I could do the same with another product but google wifi is extremely easy to set up and administer. Also, in theory, google aren't meant to be stealing browsing history for reselling.

Anyone else got one?

I've tested the internet speeds in all my dead spots and I'm getting about 50meg up and down on a line that is about 90 in to the house. I'm also getting 3 bars of wifi signal. I will admit I have cheated a little because my wifi point where I had most issues is hard wired as well as Mesh. This was the deciding point for me in that I can utilize the cat 5 to get the best speed but also use the Mesh to get the full coverage. Also, they aren't bad looking and I've turned the lights off so now they are on show. I think this helps a lot.

I'm really interested in this, though I don't understand the technology well enough yet. Whilst in the main my network is fine, it has really started to be noticeable since I bought a Naim Muso, which really relies on a good connection. It seems like when a new connection is made (e.g. when my lodger returns home and turns on his laptop and his phone), it tears/stutters/pauses.

Would this solve that problem, or would I likely be better with a stronger router instead? I don't have any black spots in the house, particularly with my router on the middle floor. It's currently on the top floor and I can still get a connection downstairs.

Very pleased with mine so far. I did have to set up the mesh again once but that takes a couple of minutes.

I'd recommend it if you need the Mesh. I'm not sure one unit alone would be worth investing in if you already have a router. The mesh has saved a decent amount of mobile data as that's what we relied on previously and we aren't unlimited data.

Well, I've just had a frustrating experience with powerline adaptors.

House has solid walls/three stories.

So hoping this is the solution?

Do you have separate wiring loops? Solid walls over a few floors sounds like the perfect situation for powerline adapters.

They’ve absolutely transformed my houses internet but generally I’ve got stuff connected to the adapters by Ethernet cables when possible rather than using the Wi-fi from them.

They suffered from instability - well documented on the web.

Super fast one minute then grinding to a temporary halt the next, very frustrating as when they work they're great.

Is that due to instability of the service to your house though? I’ve had them for years and never had a problem but as I said I only use them with Ethernet cables.

What benefits would Google Wifi/Bt Whole home bring over doing it yourself with some AP's?

Rock solid fibre service, only issues when using power lines. As mentioned this commonly noted on the web.

Seamless wifi. APs have different names and you have to choose the strongest one. Mesh is one network and you can walk around with no issue.

AP's do not have to have different names

You can walk around
