Nothing a little T-Cut cannot fix.
Bit of a weird one, you'd think anyone on a track day in a Ferrari wouldn't be stupid enough to forget to brake? Brake failure?

Lorries should have to stay in the left lane on dc's and m'ways, there would be less of this behaviour.
Bring it on. I eagerly await the chaos on DC's when there is a string of HGV's doing 40mph in the left lane due to an abnormal load or agricultural vehicle. Or not being able to overtake the 50mph braindead brigade on the M1. Or the 52mph supermarket drivers. Good luck merging onto or off of a motorway too.

I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet but HGV drivers are very often in the right most of the time when it comes to traffic altercations, look at the standard of small vehicle driving in this country from people that can't hold their own lane, wait patiently to complete a manoeuvre safely and considerately, have operating their vehicle about 4th on their list of priorities or insist on taking some kind of demented racing line around corners.

People in this country can't even comprehend a basic merge in turn system, we are a nation of pathetic morons behind the steering wheel however you think that the problem is the guys with ongoing training, vehicle monitoring systems and extra licencing that need stricter rules? Give it a rest.

Before 1997 trucks were not limited and the issue of elephant racing did not exist. It was a EU directive to slow down trucks that to be honest only the UK appears to have implemented.

I was a class 1 or C+E driver in them older and golden days, although once it was done I left the driving seat.

What's with the multiple revving from motorcyclists/moped riders when they have a near miss or a driver's manoeuvre annoys them? It features on loads of clips. The driver's unlikely to hear it. Is it just a frustration thing? Why don't they use their horn?
Because the horn on most motorcycles sounds like a duck with asthma.
Perhaps, but revving is no different.
Actually, yes, yes it is. It's an order of magnitude louder, even with a standard exhaust. It's the fastest and most effective way to announce
your presence to those who aren't paying attention. The horn is useless in comparison.
OK, that answers my question. Ta smile

I believe i saw the original of that and yes it was down to brake failure not refusal to brake.

Jeez that's got the potential to be a nasty one. Seen a similar incident on the M42 southbound, at the junction with the M40. Car in the outside lane, front nearside was a spacesaver and the daft toad was doing 80 when the spacesaver decided to depart the vehicle and head across all 3 lanes of the M42 and disappear on to the M40. 3 wheeled car slews across the 3 lanes, ends up nose down in the hard shoulder. To this day I have no idea how there wasn't a multi car pile up.

Right, so let me get this straight. You're totally refusing to accept simple provable facts, while laughing at my use of a common enough phrase to describe one thing being roughly 10 times larger than another?
Heh! I'll let you get on with reading your book with pop-up flaps mate.

Yet it works just fine in other countries (Like France) where on many roads there are restrictions on LGV's overtaking

How so? It's usually a lot louder than the puny little horns.
True, which is why I used to replace with the default 'parrp' with a proper Fiamm horn. That works far better than revving, even shouting works better, or simply moving on and forgetting about it tends to work wonders too.
