Finally finished reading this thread fully after about 4 months, highly entertains, thanks! Got some observations generally, and often stated here but I thought I'd add my thoughts:
1. I'm never going to intentionally drive in Russia.
2. I will always use public transport in Russia of the Rail & Plane variety
3. DCW's generally cause 80% incidents over virtually nothing I'd consider to be an issue.
4. Many many thanks to the diligent PH members that regularly post videos and compilations, there are a few regulars such as Wiccan and Indeman who have kept it going, thanks. Many others also who I didn't mention but thanks also.
5. Great Britain as a driving nation has a good but parochial, territorial driving mindset.
6. Cycling laws need updating desperately, as does infrastructure.
7. Although tedoius sometimes the pedant arguments on here are in the most part funny.

Thanks to all the active posters, it's been very entertaining!

clearly hasn't watched this video about reacting to emergency response videos

The taxi driver shouldn't go through a red light, even for a police car behind. Especially as there will be a camera on the light.
Unless told to do so, which he was in the end.

Wonder how far the police were going? Looks as if it might have been quicker to walk. They seemed to be expecting the traffic to levitate.

Apart from the multiple sections of that film where it says follow the signals and directions of a uniformed police officer. Pretty clear the taxi was only prepared to accept face to face instructions.

Is Russell's footage on fast forward, or does he travel everywhere at Mach 10?

I was the blue car in this situation on Wednesday. Some bloke in a Toyota did exactly what she was doing and called me a few names. Why do people not get how these work?

Blue car was clearly ahead and it's no stress to just let them slot in front.

If I was the BMW driver I'd have waved the Peugeot in front. biggrin

Why should the taxi driver risk his licence by passing a red light? Cameras are everywhere in London! His driving licence is his livelihood! He did right!

Yep. You can even see the lines on the floor indicating speed/red light camera. He did what you're supposed to do, officer needs a slap and some training by the looks of it.

or.....the ludicrous "automated fine" camera system needs to be seen for what it is, law should be flexible and tolerant of circumstance. Automation of fines/the law is totalitarian.

By law, he had to wait for face to face instructions. The Blue Light Aware video didn't show the officer calling the driver a fking tt either, which is what the officer in the YouTube video appeared to mouth as he got back into the car.

0.40 is hilarious. Biker completely fails to look at the road ahead and then gets all vaginal about it, before the others nonchalantly depart.

I got the feeling that road sweeper may have left some detergent on the road - if you look at the puddles when he finally bring the bike to a halt. Still his fault of course.

Its getting so bad now, with merge in turn blockers/how dare you push in retards, that I think the only way to deal with it is a big media campaign to explain things to these simpletons and, that shock/horror its actually THEM that are driving without due care and attention and trying there best to cause accidents/road rage.

They'll probably still do it, though rolleyes

If you want ridiculous i live near canterbury west train station. We have a level crossing on a main arterial route just round the corner from the station.
Example of timetable

CBW-LONDON 8.25am 8.27am 8.36am 8.48am 9.06am 9.23am 9.27am ETC ETC ALL DAY.

8.22/23am barrier comes down and often does not go back up till 8.29am +-4 minutes later back down it comes till 8.37/8 and so on all day

Located here The geniuses who designed the Rheims way decided in their wisdom not to install a slip road into canterbury only out....

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/St.+Dunstans+S...
Same at Mortlake. Thing is Sheen Lane (where the crossing is located) can be the quickest way to get to the South Circular if the main road is queuing. Therefore it becomes a game of chance as you know there is a high chance of sitting at the barriers for 5 minutes but if they aren't down you can get onto the SC much quicker.

Old boy in the Corsa shouldn’t be on the road. Was too busy waving and shouting than actually driving.
