10:34 - DCW caused that problem to happen.
Something has gone on before that to make him do that , given the possible consequences of bringing the outside lane of a motorway to a stop the BMW driver should be looking at a driving ban letter now.

Lane 2 driving is becoming the norm now, lines of cars overtaking nothing with an empty lane 1 and nobody to enforce it, like the 6 points for using your phone the lane hogging law is also ignored because nobody gets prosecuted for it

The amount of cars cruising in lane 2 at 60 that then speed up when you go from lane 1 to lane 3 to overtake them is unbelievable

This guy can’t have not seen the 5x Red X over the hard shoulder whilst he was in L1 but still decided to move onto the HS and drive through 3x red X. When will they start sending NIPS for this.

A few thoughts on this one. I'm assuming this is your video here?

1. From the start to around 35 seconds in, you are in lane 2 yet are not overtaking.
2. At around 1:15 you move back out to lane 2, despite not overtaking anything for a while after. Why?
3. The limit is 60 mph, the road is mostly clear. Why are you dawdling along at 50 or below?
4. Is that you singing along with some weird high-pitched voice?

So, taking into account all of the above (except 4- we don't judge you on your sexuality), especially your lane discipline, why do you feel it's appropriate to judge someone else's driving?
I know its fashionable amongst certain types on PH nowadays to go over every video posted by a member and disscect it frame by frame to point out where they are wrong and how bad they are and how much better you would be, but having watched the vid the poster's driving looks fine to me, so lets disscect your pointless and patronising answer....
1. When the vid starts he might have just passed something, and the car ahead in the left lane indicates at 8 seconds, so its quite sensible to remain in lane 2 as he will obviously be passing the car ahead of that one in a few seconds.
2. the speed indicated starts to climb as he moves out, and in about 15 seconds he would have been alongside the car that then moves onto the hard shoulder. If the road behind was clear, as the driver can see and you can't, that is a perfectly sensible move.
3. its not a crime to drive below the limit. His spacing and awareness of the speed of the vehicle in front looks spot on, he matches speed without getting close, holds distance well and drives smoothly. At a couple of points his speed drops to 50 to match the car in front, then climbs back to 56. Seems very sensible all round.
4. point taken on this one smile

If most people could manage to drive as smoothly and space as well as this driver, the roads would be a much better place.

Pretty much all you’ve said. Yes it was me driving.

I’d just completed an overtake and was leaving sufficient gap between me and the car I overtook before moving back over into L1. As I was about to move in I saw the car that undertakes me coming up behind faster indicating into L1 so I decided to hold lane 2 and see what he did rather than him misinterpret me blocking him.

At 1.15 I move to L2 because I was going to overtake the bloke who moved left. Also the blue sign indicates that L1 is for a specific route and might split and I don’t want to get stuck in a lane I don’t need. I’m not familiar with this road so wasn’t sure what the layout was up ahead.

As for the speed. The traffic was not moving at the posted speed so I was keeping with the flow of everyone’s speed whilst leaving enough gap. The GPS speed displayed on the dash cam is always 3mph less than the speed displayed by my car.

The singing is a friend of mine who was way too jolly for that time in the morning.

I actually thought my lane discipline, speed and maintaining the gap to the car in front was quite good. Oh well

Short piece around 5.58 where the motorcycle comes in from the right, joins the queue under the bridge while indicating, then turns left after the bridge, I couldn't see what the driver was complaining about. No-one moving very quickly, no sudden moves, just a motorcyclist taking advantage of a gap that already seemed to be there to make a bit of progress. Perhaps I'm just unobservant and have just made a massive mistake in revealing it.

And at 4.51, driver seems to have driven over the top of a mini-roundabout, and then spun her wheels after a near-miss.

One from this morning, nothing too dramatic

joining slip road, check blind spot, see Audi tt going from lane3 to lane2, going for an undertake, however, lorry in lane one is indicating, looked closer when it was happening that it looks in the camera.

Not amazingly close, but risky none the less

standard behaviour on the edinburgh city bypass .that's why every single time it rains near rush hour at least one car ends up on its roof and fks up everyone else's journey to work/home. looks like the ste edinburgh driver disease is spreading.

M3 hits powerband + damp road = loss of traction just when you don't need it.
