Apart from that loads of the usual dashcam morons accelerating into situations that need not arise - the one with the blue Mercedes on the slip road being a case in point... camera car could clearly see that was going to happen and deliberately accelerated to close the gap, one assumes in the name of getting some "good" footage.

Is it something about having the camera in the car that makes people do that?

That one was particularly good. Why not just let the person out? They’re hardly going to stop on the slip road. Sometimes I think it’s the mentality of having to be in front which can work if your car has the power to accelerate past, I’m guessing most of these cammers aren’t really petrolheads so drive asthmatic stheaps and therefore accelerating hard only eroded what would have been a nice gap.

I get the impression they were jumping out so the driver could reverse into a crash for cash when they would jump back in and claim neck injuries then changed their minds when they saw the camera, but it seems unlikely with so many witnesses.
