Hi Chaps

Not been here for a few years, thinking about having another TVR.

Apologies to the purists, but what I am looking for is one with an LS engine around 500 bhp, tremec G-box, suitable suspension and brakes with NO chassis corrosion, has to be as convertible as is poss though.
I have had a Tuscan so not really into another, Chimera looks favourite followed by a Griff, T350 T possible as IMO it is the most gorgeous TVR ever made, pity it’s not more convertible.
Tamora is out as IMO it has an ugly behind.

Other option is a GD 427, which a love to look of.

Anyone have anything they are considering selling?

I have a beautiful original 66 Mustang to maybe PX, it’s the goldy coloured one in the classifieds.

Before I bore Dom to death with what I would like I thought I would ask here first smile

Cheers
Mark.

Speak to 'Rudders', he doesn't actually say that he's sold his GD yet...

Topcats have a LS7 powered T350 in, mega cars with loads of decent parts on it including loads of carbon

Thanks, your the 2nd bloke who has put me onto the T350 ls at topcats smile I reckon with no AC no roof you'd melt in the summer! Bet its fun to drive though.
Have PM'd re the GD as well, and spoken to plasticman, lots to think about.

You need to have a chat with Mac, op of above thread. Page 4 for engine bay and page 8 for pic of car on stand. Not an LS but 500+ insane bhp from a fully sorted turbo rover v8. What's not to like smile

I've got the yellow LS3 Griffith that topcats built. It's an absolute beast. A proper monster. Around 530hp. Might consider selling later in the year or maybe next year to invest in a property development, if the price is right.

Which, with some of the prices being achieved currently, looks very good value IMO smile

And yet it has been for sale for an age, not a true TVR.

Hi Chaps

Thanks for the info and potential cars for sale. Spoke to Mac re his bonkers Chim, but in the end I bought the car I had wanted for a long time a Gardner Douglas GD427.
Weighing 1015 kgs with 480 bhp of cammed LS2, performance is “lively” wink

I had a Tuscan around 8 years ago with one of Dom’s excellent 4.3 conversions, dam good car, but the Cobra is not only considerably faster it also rides and handles a fair bit better. Not quite as practical though smile

Cheers

The point is, at some point, somebody, somewhere will think it's an absolute steal and willingly part with £80K for a British car powered by an LS3 engine. I'm not a purist by any means, my Cerbera has a few non-standard features but the engine is, and will always be a 4.5 ltr AJP V8 wink

He was referencing the Cobra, rather than the Vulcan.

I agree with you on the Vulcan. Beautifully built car. And basically a very well modified Tuscan.
