RE: Alpine A110 - Geneva 2017
Discussion
I like the new one, nice to see them having the guts to do it.
I nearly bought an 80's Alpine in the late nineties but got put off by a friend who's dad ran the local Renault dealership in Portsmouth, He was telling me horror stories about the cost of replacing the tyres. I still sort of fancy one though.

I had this, sold it a couple of years agoIt was starting to become difficult to get the electronic parts, and those are the flakey bits! Mine had quite a bit of restoration, including rebuilt engine etc.
Actually a pretty quick comfy car with decent rear space and amusing turbo lag.

4C to be overhauled? game on then.
For me this car is the closest competitor.
and reminds me of choosing between a carbon or aluminium bicycle....
There's no wrong choice, just preference.
Nothing to do with tuxedos or poor sales or how you subjectivley view their looks.
small, agile, 2 door, 2 seat mid engine'd DCT, 1.8 turbo 4's...very little compromise.
Awesome.
Throw in the Porsche for good measure for those that don't want to, or can't compsomise and yeah...what a great giant test.
I'll be happy if Alpine can sell just enough to warrant more models but few enough to remain 'special'
Which I'm hoping is how Alfa look upon the 4C
I love Porsche, but I'd have either over a 718.
