Out of interest how many full fat petrol cars, eg the B3 and B5, do Alpina sell in the UK each year?
Averaged out over the past 20-30 years... around 70 per year.

Over the past 3-4 years... around a dozen per year.

Hopefully typed with a winky smiley in mind, acknowledging his admirable passion and depth of knowledge.
I post Alpinas to read Seek's subsequent comments - incredible knowledge...

While boarding Eurotunnell you can see the cars coming off the train you're about to load onto. Train unloading that I was entering had;

2 f40. (One a LM)
2 la Ferraris, (one convertible).
1 f50
1 enzo
1 older Ferrari but not sure which one, judging by the others it's something rare!

Can only imagine the noise in that carriage as they stared up. All ok uk plates.

Only got one (stty) photo though unfortunately but I'm expecting it to show up in a magazine or something soon.

It'll be this lot, they went to pick up the LaFerrari Aperta from Maranello with the rest of the cars.

Yep, and one of the F40s did not make it back home from the trip eek

A very early production example that later went on to be a race car before being converted back to road use.

You say that, but I reckon he might be OK with it. The tales of the Bentley Boys hint towards a sense of fun

Oh dear! I feel for the owner, must be sickening to watch that go up in flames.

Did that happen in Europe?

I believe so, given the actual cars provenance then the frame could well form the basis of a full rebuild in time, its been done before with F40s as bad as that, when F40s values were a quarter of what they are now.
