Yep. Many ago I saw a footballer rolling down the Kings Road in one with the ‘roof mechanism’ open...I remember thinking it was cooler than cool. But seeing it today....well, age has been unkind.

I agree they generally look exceedingly naff. The answer in this case can't even be 'because racecar', because no proper racing car has ever had brightly coloured calipers on show.
