There is a R129 in that colour for sale near me at the minute. I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not and was bordering on "playing safe" for eventual resale. However, those pictures are making me re-think.PGNSagaris said:
Bornite was an optional, not special order on the C124. I can't find a period price list for the Coupe, but I can for the Cabrio. The AMG wheels and suspension was a £3,500 extra, the AMG body kit £4,000! With a few extra options this would have easily been £55k+ new - more than £100k now, huge money.

Holy heck! My car would have been quite pricey back in 1994.
Sadly not worth anything like that these days. It's been repainted and isn't a low mileage example, so will never be a collectors' item. I am in fact looking for a wrecked C36 AMG that I can have the engine from, to make it even less original...
