will be mostly driven by soccer moms who block up narrow roads around the local primary school as they can't park it despite the help of more cameras than the big brother house.

a fugly monstrosity that makes a chevy tahoe seem like a sensibly sized city runabout.

Can't help but be impressed. I wouldn't have one, due to Audi bling not being my thing, but that's down to me. Great to have the choice in the marketplace all the same.

Same visual spec as the one I was describing above. Those alloys and the black pack really finish off the looks, imho.

Your comment really Show's just how awful your life must truly be....

Please try to enjoy your Sunday, the Sun is out.. ;-)
I'm not sure that happiness is exclusively the domain of Audi SQ7 appreciators, cynics can and often do lead full and normal lives!
Agree with Garth, cars like this are so charmless.

The F10 M5 has been around for 6 years with no major issues owners in the states have been tuning the arse of them as well.

The bottom ends are now starting to prove a bit suspect on the tuned examples, plus we'll have to wait 6 years to see if this engine proves to be unreliable because as yet no one commenting on here has a clue if this engine is a good one or not. I look forward to seeing it in an A6.
My point was around the comment that hot V8s (in general) not being proven, rather than a specific comment on this engine.

As for the this Q7 its got around 180-190hp/tonne so it's hardly a rocket ship.

I like the way that the SQ7 in the photo sits.

I'll take that bet shall we say £50.00 to Help for Heroes if they don't sell one within three months of going on sale?

Just to be clear, some people are suggesting the car shouldn't be available to buy in the U.K. just because they personally don't like it? I don't like it either but I'm not going to stand in judgement of those who have different tastes and/or more money than me. Blimey...take a look in the mirror wink

Part of the reason I say I bet they sell none is because I think any that arrive on the roads will in reality be through any VAG employee scheme (i.e. Company car as they want them to end up on used approved forecourt after 3 months) or some possibly on PCP / lease which I'm not sure truely counts as a 'sale'

Sad really isn't it?

Would i have one if i could afford it?

No chance, but then I don't have a need for any type of SUV but i certainly wouldn't criticise anyone for buying one.

Horses for courses and all that.

The observation wasn't about speed, it was about the difference between car types.
jagfan2 said:
It'd the same size as as an rs6, not much heavier, cheaper, nearly as fast, in 90% of situations and faster in some,
But then

PhilboSE said:
And yes, my SQ7 does batter a (say) RR SVR in gear - because 900Nm vs 680Nm.
according to Audi the SQ7 only puts out 435hp at 5000rpm and the SVR is 535hp at 6000 which is 456lb/ft and 475lb/ft respectively. So the Range Rover is faster.

Well, of course everyone is entitled to an opinion, apparently. But I do notice it's an ever increasing trend these days for people to moan moan moan about anything. Doesn't matter what it is, they just want their moany voice to be heard. Makes them look like dick heads. Stereotypes eh?! biggrin

Quit while you're...not ahead.

I bought one outright. I'll probably keep it for the next 8 years, like I did my last Q7. I'm not a VAG employee.

You need to look beyond your own prejudices to understand why people might have different buying requirements to you. Not all Q7 are driven by orange skinned blonde parents shuttling a single child to school. The same way that not all Nissan Note automatics are driven by grannies on their way to bingo.

No volume car maker sells a car at full price these days so I'll just settle for your first statement where you bet they won't sell one. wink
