E60 M5's are cheap and have that amazing engine.

I'd love to agree with the M5 but they're just too much potential grief to become an appreciating-in-value classic. They're desirable now and people shy away from them.Honda Insight
W212 E63
Shame as they're magnificent machines but scary ownership prospects.
The E39 M5 will continue to increase in value but I don't think it'll hit E28 heights.
Some cracking suggestions posted already. This is good fun...here's my turn:
Citroen C6: Because it's absolutely gorgeous and so French it hurts. Not conventionally attractive, but it has enourmous presence. The fact French saloons are now pretty much dead makes it the last of its breed.
W219 Mercedes CLS: AMG models (55 and 63) in particular. Looks pretty much identical to the concept car from 2003 and still looks the business today. Really spearheaded the four door coupe segment. Helped by the fact it's successor was immeasurably blander and tubbier.
Vauxhall VX220: They'll never do another car like it, which adds to the appeal. It's aged remarkably well, particularly compared to the Elise which seems commonplace by comparison these days. I can't recall the last time I saw one on the road.
Tesla Roadster: I don't see another one coming along for some time, and the whole story surrounding Tesla makes this a little piece of automotive history. The fact it was ludicrously expensive when new makes it a real rarity.
Mk1 Audi TT: A bona fide design classic. A true concept car for the road. Again, another car that has aged brilliantly.
Renault Avantime: A car that was either a total disaster from the off or way ahead of its time depending on how you look at it. The fact Renault had the balls to make an impractical version of a practical car (an MPV sports coupe) smacks of remarkable foresight considering the swathes of coupe SUVs we now have on the roads. I love it.
Mk1 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish - Utterly, sensationally, breathtakingly gorgeous from every single angle. A car I have lusted after since I first saw it in Die Another Day in 2002 (by far the best thing about the movie). Far, far better looking than the DB7 which hasn't aged well in the slightest. The Mk2 Vanquish is just too boy racer-ish in comparison - it's silly wings and carbon fibre trim have always looked out of place to me.
Rover 75 - Hey, you never know...we'll never see the likes of it again. Good examples are increasingly rare. There's just something about it...

EP3's will soon be appreciating more as finding a standard looked after example will become harder.
I'd also like to think that these are going to appreciate somewhat, however I suspect they won't.

Great handling car with a V6
E63 M6 - has the same epic 5.0 V10 as the M5 but is much rarer. The SMG gearbox does have its idiosyncrasies but what 'classic' cars don't.
The 306 GTi-6 is another good shout but I'd rather put my money on it's rarer cousin the Rallye.
Tidy Rev 3 onward MR2s are also becoming a rarer sight, particularly well maintained turbo versions so could and (I believe) already are appreciating.

Mercedes C63 (6.2 NA) will be, these things are never going to be made in the same way, it's all about turbos and twin turbos now.
And it just isn't the same, oh and did I mention the noise of the C63?
I agree. Anything with that amazing AMG NA 6.2 litre V8. I had a C63 estate for a while and then regretted getting rid of it. Just bought a W212 E63 Estate. Love the idea of a huge (black) estate car doing 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and sounding like a racing car while doing it!And it just isn't the same, oh and did I mention the noise of the C63?
On the basis that I always sell at the wrong time, as evidenced by selling
Rover mini cooper in good condition (no visible rust) and full sliding roof, I think we sold it for about 3-4k in 2003. That won't even get a rough one now.
TVR chimaera 450, now the cheapest ones are close to double what I let mine go for 6 years ago, it would have been worth having a full body off job and would have been still quids in.
I vote for Jag (x100) XKR's going up in value in the next few years (particularly the 4.2's) as I am about to put mine up for sale.

X100's are already going up. Mine was written off for more than I paid for it 4 years ago and with an extra 30k miles.A tidy, low mileage 4.2 XKR is a decent bet I think.
Z3M "Smurf Hearse" for sure. Under appreciated at the time which makes it relatively rare now. I got to do a few miles in one a few weeks ago and really liked it. Interior is lovely too (much nicer place to sit than the awful plastic interior of the Z4M that followed). Although, I think the Z4M Coupe will start to climb soon too.

If this car at one of my local dealers is anything to go by I'd say the Z3M Coupe has already 'appreciated', but then they do have a £25k E36 M3 Cab too.

It's a real pet peev of mine when people write sentences with the beginning of every word in capital.http://www.parkwayspecialistcars.co.uk/stocklist/b...
From the article above: The M Coupe Was Built For Total Driver Thrill With The Options Listed On This Car, Offering No More Or Less, Than The Driver Will Require
Stunning car though
