Yup, one of the SE Griffs has just sold for £42K so they're definitely on the up.

The odd early DB9 can be picked up for a smidge over 30k these days... Can't continue.
What about the DB7?

Of course, the 9 is a better car in pretty much every way but then a DB7 is a better 'car' than a DB6. I think the 7 will stand the test of time and it did save Aston.

I'm sure DB7s will appreciate. There's still too much of a whiff of Jag XK about them....but people will get over it eventually.

Beautiful, pure drama and totally bespoke. Essentially a race car. Nothing made like it and I doubt ever again.
Yep - appreciating already prices up 10% in a year.

Plus no one is selling them either so low to no supply and a great car to boot.

Perfection.

Early 986 Boxster, one with low mileage, FPSH and decent spec and in a sensible colour combination. I'm sure these will go up in value the same way 996's have been.
FPSH I think will be near impossible to find on one of these. Even though Porsche have service deals on earlier cars, it doesn't make sense to go this route on a £4-5k car.

I do agree that they will increase in value though.

I've thought that about 986s for a number of years now and prices have been completely static. I know I'm going to kick myself for not picking one up eventually but the maintenance and how fussy buyers could be always puts me off.

First production year 2.5 (as it doesn't have the engine worries of the others) in silver with red interior and no centre console would be ideal as it closely matches the concept launch car.

The E60 M5 will only ever be heralded because of the engine, but scorned because of the gear box.
The same gearbox that's in the much lauded M3csl?

Was the software not revised for the CSL?

If so cannot any M5 E60 ownerfflash that info over to match it?

I think tidy MK1 TT's will firm up a bit, also, the original TTRS from 2009 is holding price well, cant see it dropping that much from the current 20k entry point.

Z3M "Smurf Hearse" for sure. Under appreciated at the time which makes it relatively rare now. I got to do a few miles in one a few weeks ago and really liked it. Interior is lovely too (much nicer place to sit than the awful plastic interior of the Z4M that followed). Although, I think the Z4M Coupe will start to climb soon too.

Indeed, they are on the rise already. A mate of mine bought his black on black in 2008 for 128000 Swedish, roughly £10700, sold it in November last year for 275000, around £23000, so more than doubling in value in a little under 10 years.

Clean E46 M3's are strong money, specially manuals.

I hope E39 M5's will climb or atleast hold their value since I just got one wink

Considering you can buy an Aston Martin that is no more than a 1.3 Toyota supermini, 'too much whiff of Jag' doesn't seem too bad nowadays...does it?

I'm know this is going back some years now, but it is the outer way round CSL was the older SMGII box and M5 had the revised, better SMGIII

By the way it’s funny how the thread came back to life after like 4 years

4 years from when the thread started, 3 years since I bought my 996. That’s already crept up in value and certainly has some more to go.

Well I hope it has crept up, since it’s about to be up for sale. hehe

Z4M Coupe looks like a good shout. 1M's are only going to go one way now that the M2 looks likely to remain in the lineup until its legislated out.

I guess the big question is will all ICE vehicles be punished over the next 8 years through higher taxation?

Will that future classic become impossible to move on?
