Four words...Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio..

It is 30k cheaper, looks better, rarer, faster. Yes I am biased as I own one, but at 60k it's the bargain of the car world. Comes to something that to keep up BMW charge 30k more than their standard M car.

Too many add ons. Why can't they keep these cars simple looking?

Saw one for the first time in the flesh when I was in Milan a couple of weeks ago. Look far better in the flesh imho. For a £30k price difference and circa 40bhp more in the Alfa, I know where my money would go!

Losing the plot, 90K....... you could buy a base M4 and spend 20k and it would be a better car.

This doesn't bode well for projected pricing for the M2 CS..

I agree with others, this is far too much money. The £90k ball park contains cars such as the AMG GT, 911 Carrera 4S, and F Type R. All ground-up sports cars.

awful value for money, bmw with their ltd editions are really playing on car collectors buying cars as investments otherwise no one would buy this imo

with the m4CS I agree, it's just priced too high to have any room to appreciate

bare in mind with the ceramic brakes and for the frozen dark blue paint this is a ~ £108,000 car

I test drove one, and tbh couldn't wait to get out of it...

It had a horrible longitudinal/diagonal pitching over smallish bumps, and the interior isn't a nice place to be compared to a M4, however the steering was very nice..

A bit more development and money spent on the interior and systems, and might start to compete with the Germans, but 0.1 sec difference over the TG test track, or whatever, isn't enough to change.... imo, ymmv....

Does look great and nice to see the return of the CS, but the price seems insane! Is it really triple the car of a £30k M140i? tongue out

this. also the Alfa will have terrrrible residuals in comparison. Admitedly the 90k price tag is a lot. I would prefer the Alpina 6 Gran Coupe....as it is xDrive....

A BMW M3 for £90k, even in CS format, is over-priced.
If it's over-priced then they won't sell any surely?

I suspect they'll sell quite a few meaning there's quite a few richer people than us around!!!
Just because someone can afford something doesnt mean it isnt overpriced.
By the same token, everyone's view on what is overpriced will be different.

Any week's SOTW will show that

Same views/opinions happened with the E46 CSL

It looks ace but come on, £90k?!

It's a shame that the vast majority of them will either be bought by speculators looking to make a quick few quid or will end up sat in a garage, not to be used frown

Bearing in mind a standard M3/4 sheds value like a falling meteorite at £60k.....then good luck with this.

The article was reading so well until then!

Bearing in mind every comment has virtually mentioned the price....Houston we may have a problem!

Absolutely bonkers pricing! They recently did something similar with the M3 30 Jahre edition.....but at least that was a limited numbers edition!

true, the E46CSL was £40k and now a low mileage example is £80k
the idea that an M4CS will double in value and be trading for £180,000 is unthinkable imo

If enough people buy it at that price then it's priced correctly. Only BMW know how many "enough" is.
