Well , the EVO community seem not to be impressed !

I read some of it today. Very nicely printed etc .But It all looked messy and in the introduction. They question how it may sell etc . never ever launch a thing unless "ITS READY" No website , nada . Needs a annual subscription so they can at least know how many to print!

Based on the clues, a few seconds on Google would have given you a answer .

It really doesn't - besides which, my company filter blocks anything suspicious, which this apparently is.

Badly.

Never heard of it, google 5054 magazine has a twitter feed and this thread above any website of other 5045 references, the website when found (on the twitter link) is a single page of "coming soon".

5054 "Pretentious, moi?"

Is the name of the magazine really in reference to the Physics O-Level?

If it is, I'm struggling to make the connection between being 15 and doing science, and driving cars.

Or am I due a whoosh parrot?

I would imagine there needs to be a min "run " .Lets say 500. wonder if it will even sell 100. Thats a lot of investment down the drain . How come he never even bothered to discuss it on motoring forums before to gain interest ?

This reminds me of another very expensive magazine (or should that be"premium lifestyle journal"?) a friend showed me last weekend - some £10 football culture magazine called 'Mundial' with chock full of bizarre, pseudo intellectual articles that disappeared completely up their own arse by the end of the first paragraph. Load of sh*te, but beautifully made and presented.

If 5054 is anything similar to that - the name is not a good sign - then I don't hold out much hope, although I'll have to reserve judgement until I've read it of course.I like the idea of a really well put together, premium magazine that is made of higher quality papers etc - I think this is the future of printed magazines as it transforms them from disposable item to a collectible. I just don't see why they have to be filled with absolute hipster nonsense.

In the hands it feels very nice . Good size, weight and paper etc. Pages not crammed full of text and pics . A Easy read . But a very limited market as it's very "specialist "

If the launch had been delayed until the website and e commerce bit was all up and running . Plus a few good threads accross the forums . It might have stood a good chance of a better start .
