Hi All,

I just wanted to see if there were any DB11 owners on here? I really like the ooks and also like he idea of the latest technology. There are some good deal on them at the moment so i am going to go and have a look this week but I wanted to see if there were any owners views?

Also any must have's when specing up a new one?

Thanks!

That's worrying - good deals on a DB11. If you mean by good deals - discounts then the hoped for new strategy of not discounting to improve RV's is out the window already. Not good news for the 32 being advertised on Autotrader if it is the case!

Or, of course, you could mean something completely different - just early delivery.

I love my one!

New to the brand but love the combination of great tech with wonderful character of Aston Martin. The dealership in Cambridge have been 1st rate.

Colour is Magnetic Silver, which is lovely and works well. I would recommend the colour. Everything is pretty standard but I did get the under bonnet jewellery pack which makes for good theatre when opening the lovely large bonnet.

When specing up worth considering the Vanquish S instead wink

They are apparently really struggling to sell these! Park Royal London have three cancelled launch editions at the moment and are offering up to 10% off these! I was shocked when a friend sent me whataspp pics of one he was given to borrow for 4 days over this Easter Bank Holiday long weekend! IMHO that is nutts - handing out cars to be used over a long weekend to me signals they are really struggling to shift these as I can't think of any other premium car manufacturer who would lend out their cars in this way for such long periods.

He even stuck around 1000 miles on it hehe

I think they are struggling too so the whole "spiel" about selling out first years production doesn't really hold water (unless they have dumped them all on dealers forecourts - which might be possible.
A friend of mine bought a launch edition and after breaking down twice gave it back to the dealer. This was two months ago and the car is still there.

I guess you have to ask to get the 'good deals'? Some are pushing £200k on Autotrader, with a base price of ~£155k I can't believe the options cost that. Cheapest is £169k with 4k miles on. No thanks...

32 for sale on here and the majority have less than 1K miles, many with delivery miles and for sale outside of the dealer network.

As with all new car launches I think there were a lot of speculators who have now had their hands burnt! The cancelled orders are proof of this as people thinking of making a quick buck now back out!

Quite surprised to read this thread.
I thought that Aston Martin had established a new found "form" in the "Brand" marketplace.
It's possible that the price of a pre owned Vanquish has tempted punters to go for that rather than the DB11.
If a well specced DB11 is circa £200K and a pre owned Vanquish coupe is circa £120/130K
I'd probably go for the Vank.
I've only seen the DB11 from outside the showroom in Park Lane, unfortunately it was closed so I couldn't have a good look around, however it looked OK to me.

AML will sell them eventually having pocketed the 'Flippers' deposit!
That's very good Karma! clap

So just to be clear when I say 'good deals' it is all relative. There isn't discounts necessarily just some interesting ways to fund them. None of the options are really good deals as such, like I say all relative I guess.

Some time ago I also wondered how well the DB11 was selling, and so posed a question on a related topic. There were no answers, so perhaps worth trying again.

If a customer places an order now, for their own specification new build DB11, how long will they have to wait for delivery?

Soon after launch, the Company was saying the order book was full for two years ahead.
If that statement was correct, presumably the answer to my question must be about 12 months.

I do hope the sales are strong, but it does seem worrying to see so many used models already advertised for sale.

Here is a quote I found from Andy Palmer.

“We have the issue with some people saying the cars all look alike – that’s solved in the next generation of cars.”

Could that be a mistake?

Lets face it DB11 is not as attractive as it should have been. It has a strange roof line, dated Mercedes iPad sticking out of the dash frown, that odd looking invisible spoiler with a messy little Gurney flap (going to be a pain to keep clean, all the dirt going into those ducts) and at it's price point it should have CC brakes. It's a tough sell. As great a car as it is, it just doesn't move people, it doesn't have that wow factor. IMO.

I may be wrong, but I think you'll find that sales (particularly globally) have indeed been very strong and were not made up. I suspect they have died down a fair amount since but the real problem presumably is the sheer number of people who bought thinking they could flip - non-limited run Astons are rarely flippable at a profit for very long..........

Doesn't take many cars up for sale to distort the market.

I have to agree, the styling is a little bland, the interior doesn't look that special, iPad stuck to the dash that won't fold away, ducts that throw dirt down the car and will fill with mud... I think I'm going to keep my V8 for a while, or head over to Woking. If the new Vantage is similarly styled (and I'm sure it will have the same interior at least) then previous generation owners will probably see firmer than average residuals smile

Edit: If you have one, sorry about that, enjoy it! thumbup
