Just a quick question currently got a Clio sport 197 and I'm having issue with a boomy exhaust that has been fitted after market by past owner, don't know if you've ever had similar issue, any ideas for new exhaust to make the car more usable?

Completely different ball game to be honest. The 1*2 Clios are more nimble, give you more feedback and more fun at sensible speeds. Whereas the outgoing generation Meganes are a much nicer place to be (as is a Clio 197/200) but they're bigger heavier cars. The outright pace is phenomenal and they're much more capable cars, but it all depends on what you want it for.

If you've never had a Renaultsport car before, a cheap old Clio is a brilliant place to start, as parts are cheap and they're light on consumables for track days too. Running costs are more expensive on Meganes and they're heavier on tyres/brake pads, but I'm at the stage now where I've been in Clios for over two years and I'm ready to take the next step up. Time will tell if I miss the Clio or not when it goes!
Cheers. Often hear the 200 and 182 being compared but haven't heard much direct comparison between these.

Sounds like the Trophy makes for a better toy.

Ideally it would be useful to know what exhaust system it is that's fitted to the car. Depending on the set up, it could be running a decat pipe or if it's a non-resonated system, there won't be a centre silencer. By adding the cat back in or buying the resonated centre section, that'll help to bring the noise levels down.

So another illegal exhaust mod by Ben of the type that leads to ever more stringent emissions laws. The first of which started this year.
