Pick a favourite car from each decade you have been alive..

1980s child here, so although I could have chosen something far more exotic, my car of the 1980s would be the Sierra RS Cosworth
1990s. I still think this is the most perfect looking Ferrari of modern times. Appearances in "Goldeneye" and "The Rock" probably didn't do it any harm either...oh and I've driven one. A Spider in Rossa Corsa with Magnolia hide would be just about perfect.
2000s. This one only just qualifies but I've always loved Aston Martins and fell in love with the Vantage from the moment it came out. However, I was conflicted between the perfect-looking V8 Vantage and the more powerful V12 motors in the larger GT cars. Aston's most powerful engine in their smallest car is perfect then. I'll take mine in black.
2010s. I have a penchant for really crazy Japanese performance cars but the 90s and early 2000s seemed to be their heyday. This is probably the craziest car to come out of Japan in the last decade and like with their first foray into the luxury car market (LS400), I think that Lexus really nailed it.
It's kind of a shame that I can't pick anything from the 1950s or 1960s but I'm not that old, so over to you...

Great thread OP!
90s - for this one I'm going to put myself in my 4-8 year olds perspective and go for this
Before the men in white coats are sent to take me away, I remember my dad buying a Punto 60s which styling wise was leagues ahead of the competition in 1997. I was sat in a broom yellow Punto GT and genuinely knew more about the car than the salesman at 7 years of age.
00's - For me it has to be the GTR. As a member of the PlayStation Generation, a lover of tuning and having had a quick drive in a 650bhp one I'm hooked.
10's - 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 - as I've got older and interested in track days the concept of a essentially a race car for the road/track just appeals. 9000 rpm, 500 bhp, RWD and a locking differential, need I say more.

1970s - 2 door Range Rover in tuscan blue. The most perfect car ever IMHO, and my daily.
1980s - MG Metro 6R4. Not the most successful of the Group-B cars, but that noise!
1990s - Impreza 22B. I know not the best Impreza dynamically but the most iconic and the one that most captures the rally heritage of the model.
2000s - Jaguar XJ Super V8, best long range barge ever.
2010s - Tesla Model S, the car that made electric cars truly desirable.
Check back in a week, except the 1970s, all the above will have changed.

Hmmm.....
70's (just) - Probably a Capri, mainly down to the lingering memories of my father restoring his.
80's - Metro 6R4 Clubman, Road going 250hp Metro, what's not to love?
90's - Rover 200 Coupe (1.8VVC or the 2ltr Turbo depending which end of the decade you look at), no brainer for me personally
10's - Toss up between (again beaten to it) the V8 Vantage or the 2006+ XK(X150)
11-20 - F-Type, about the only recently manufactured car that has any kind of pull... well maybe the XJ if I need something for carrying people.

I was only born in '86 so my memory of the 80's is very vague, nothing stands out so I will nominate this:-
1990's is a very difficult one, however, providing I can select this particular variant (technically it was the last of the run, so it was a 2000):-
2000's, again a very difficult one, but probably just edging an LP670:-
2010's, I'd go for this which just edges out an Aventador:-
You can clearly see that my Euro Million win garage would contain a lot of Lamborghini's

80s: Ferrari F40. My 1st pick from my Scalextric set.
90s: Nismo 400R. My favourite car on Gran Turismo 2.
00s: Bugatti Veyron. Will probably go down in history as the best car ever on Top Trumps.
10s: Porsche 911 991.2 Targa GTS, with a manual. It's as fast a 911 Turbo from a few generations ago, has the proper Targa bar and a manual gearbox.

70s - Escort Mk2 RS2000 - schoolboy rallying dream machine
80s - E34 BMW M5 - properly nailed the fast and usable brief
90s - McLaren F1 - simply magnificent
00s - LR Discovery 3/4 - becomes a greater design with every passing day of it's successor being on the road.
10s - Porsche 911 GTS (997) - last of the NA greats?
I'd also come up with a different list if I thought about it tomorrow, so many great cars.

Great thread - born in 1972 so:
My first ever poster car (70's) - Porsche 930 Turbo:
Which in the 80's was replaced by:
Then in the 90's, when I could drive and became a little more realistic: (and bought one in 2012 for my 40th)
Turn of the century, my attentioned turned to this: (and bought one in 2009 as part of mid life crisis/separation token gesture)
And now, it seems I've gone full circle:
