Wouldn't it have been better announcing it here, rather than Twitter ?

Except the PH manager never took part in the forum, unlike Paul Garlick who liked to banter with the members.

Just saying.

That would make the best PH story of all time!!

Autocar is my guess.

All the best Dan.

PS you can hide the Mac in my garage for a while if you need to while the heat dies down.

I'm surprised more people aren't discussing this. When the editor leaves it could signal a change in direction for the whole sites future content

Thats a shame, I genuinely enjoy Dan's work, one of the better automotive writers.

Best of luck whatever you do.

Is he the one who writes the terrible, cliché-laden shed of the week articles?

laugh

What content ?

A few poorly written, misspelled features on the front page ?

The reason the vast majority come on here is for the forums.

A decent search / classifieds would be nice too.

He's OK but to be honest there are far better writers and journalists out there.

I gave up reading his stuff a while back as I realised it wasn't for me. Unfortunately Autocar is also sinking with some shockingly poor writers. No idea who still buys that magazine.

I for one never stray outside the forums on here, I did not even realise Dan was the editor.

Enjoyed Dan's Features and Video's. Good luck on whatever's next. Evo Magazine would be a great fit I reckon. Autocar/Express are ste. Even Steve Sutcliffe has moved to Evo.

Sad to hear of Dan's departure, I've thoroughly enjoyed his contributions to this website. I've met a few of the PH staff on occasions but sadly never got a chance to meet Dan in person.

Best of luck wherever you are heading next, and thank you.
