You know what? I can't quite put my finger on why, but I really like this.

In fact, My old mum is talking about replacing her old 2000 Demio with her third K11 Micra. I might show her this and see if she fancies something with the same sort of ethos but a bit more room.

And I can "borrow" it occasionally. Her last K11 was an absolute gem to drive smile
Brilliant wee car for the loot. We had two Hyundai accent two doors years ago, auction fodder for selling on but kept them much longer than anticipated because they were just so decent, reliable and honest
An ex had one. It was diabolical.

If you look up ‘BMW’ in the dictionary it’ll probably have a picture of that car. Lovely.

Not with a Spanish gearbox it won't.

Manuel/manual

BMW made some lovely manual boxes, I always thought BMW should be manual and Mercedes should be auto

Give how much performance the old 4 speed autos robbed I think I'd rather a manual in an early E34; It'll do 90% of your driving in 3rd if you can't be arsed changing gears

Do t get me wrong, dynamically the Accents were way off the mark but both had engines like sewing machines, unrelentingly reliable, no bangs or strange noises when driving them, white goods for the road, and neither cost any more than a decent washing machine!!

I think any BMW 6 pot diesel should be an auto no matter what age it is. The manual box just didn't suit the E46 330d imo, that's why I opted for the auto instead. On the flip side nothing ruins a 330i more than the auto box

I had a red one of these as my first car! Gutless 1.3 engine but it saw me through Uni and beyond. Also taught me how to handbrake turn! 🤣

Does 'full service' mean cambelt service? New shocks alround reads good, but I've read the 'Merc.' bush at the rear can be an issue. I am not sure about the giant Biscione decal on the front doors.

Surely a contender for worst sales pictures ever. V6 or nothing in these IMO.

Despite the 166 being one of the uglies Alfas I've ever seen therefore the one most in need of a facelift, I never knew they actually did one. And now I know why... how very dull.

laugh

My pal had one as a winter beater in the 2000s to save his immaculate JDM Yellow DC2 from rusting in the drizzle...

It really was a lean forward to get better traction car

I also broke the passenger seat as they're made for bantam weight folk; I was only around 18 stone at the time too biggrin laugh
