Looks like the sort of thing that would've been sat on the driveway of a Bungalow in 2003 owned by Dennis and Audrey who used it for trips to the town centre and to pull the caravan to Filey because they always bought BL and wanted to support Rover however they could, no doubt a Rover 25 replaced it. Just needs a National Trust sticker in the rear window next to the WWF stickers. If ever a car had BBC Southern Counties Radio playingEdited by aaron_2000 on Wednesday 16th June 19:27

For a little more, this would do me, subject to a small discount and the usual checks.

If I had the money spare I would love to buy that! Drove an s3 that belonged to the dealer that sold my mrs her Polo and have wanted one ever since. Sure its not the best TVR but there was something very raw about the drive, something that you just don't get in modern cars. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1330523

Silver over red with a little added attitude. Put the gingercators back and I'm in love.

Great looking cars and definitely something I wish I'd bought when they were cheap. At least it's a manual.

Plus I recall the zx300 could chuck crippling bills at you, and I guess struggled to be relevant alongside the awsome package that was the skylines

That shape Carina just screams of taxi to me, it's all I remember them for
My Dad bought one in 1994. Pre-reg “bargain”, back in the days of oversupply and airfields full of unsold new cars…That shape Carina just screams of taxi to me, it's all I remember them for
He kept it for 6 years and it was a great family car. Our first family car with rear electric windows and aircon. Proper step up from the Volvo 440 it replaced!
These were overshadowed by the Mondeo that was launched at a similar time, but they were good cars, built in Britain and very cheap to run.

I had one of these as a shed, it lost it's coolant once so I drove it home anyway and just as I got there it completely stopped running. A new hose and a fill of tap water later and it was fine, going on to do many tens of thousands more miles in the hands of my cousin. He kept it for 6 years and it was a great family car. It may not have driven as well as a Mondeo, which only had so much praise from the press due to the shock that it wasn't total crap as everyone expected, but the quality and durability showed up the Ford for the "down to the last penny" biscuit tin they always are.
