Early (J-reg) Clio, rare 'S' model, done 33k miles. Far from concourse but looks like a cracking little car for £500 OVNO.

Called up to buy this, but it's already gone.

£10 says it gets flipped at £1195 once a quick Kosovan car wash has happened first.

I had one of these in 1.6i Ghia form, years ago.

It was rubbish, yet for some reason, I loved it...but I wouldn't go back to one.

They've got one in the new issue of Modern Classics magazine compared with an XR2i. Thought a better comparison would be one of the RS versions, maybe the RS1800 like Autocar used.

Anyway, worth a look if you like the Renault

Yes, the beautiful Ford Corsair 2000E (Blue Mink metallic cloud9 anyone?) and the horrible MkIII Cortina version!

Years ago, when we were running around in old E21s and sporty rwd Escorts, a friend used to get occasional loan of his Dad's 1.6i Ghia. XR3i with a boot really but it was surprisingly tail happy with a quick lift into the corners. Always wanted to build a rwd one like Irish rally legend Bertie Fisher had but with full Ghia trim - lovely sized car for 4 people.
Seen a couple done but now cost too much to hack around cheaply

Was very tempted myself as well! Hopefully it hasn't fallen into the wrong hands, which is quite likely at that price.

The Trevi that was on here went for 250 quid.
Had the rust issue though.

Don't mistake new for dull. Don't get me wrong, I love an E28.

But drive a new M3/4 and hand on heart tell me it's dull.

A 320d, which the most new BMWs are, is definitely dull. Most people I work with have one frown

bloated and gauche F30 3 Series is 4mm longer than that taut, lithe, tidy E28.

I'm surprised, I'd have guessed it would be more.
