Another Omega, looks good, a bit over the top with the leather polish. Think the wheels are from a later model. Low mileage, low owner car -

What's that in the garage - some Americana ?

Well there was some love for the Senator so how about the Carlton - the description is mighty impressive. Kind of surprised it isn't more money bearing in mind some crazy recent prices.

Well I like it, but I think the price IS crazy! I think the Omega would be priced about right for a 3l, but I do like a manual... hmmm...

£1450 for the BTCC dream

Pretty chequered MOT history for a low(ish) mileage car, including "Emissions not tested - cat stolen" earlier this year!

But it looks cool in an early 2000s kind of way, even with only a 1.6 engine to drag it along.

'71-'73 Dodge Dart Swinger by the looks of that rear bumper and the roofline smile

An encouraging sign in my book, even if the price is a bit toppy.

So much glass. These were great cars, so enjoyable on the skinny tyres.
Memory loss?

Really heavy steering, wooden brakes, no power. Hateful cars.
No?
Skinny tyres gave great feedback and light steering, brakes were okay but ideally don't brake so you don't have to accelerate again. Lovely natured cars, great passive oversteer. My step-mum had one which I favoured over my actual mums' Mk1 Astra of similar output.
Also if you hit a hump-back bridge fast enough they fly really really well.

ETA. this was a very very long time ago. I'm a responsible citizen now. Honest.

My first car was a 3-door estate version of this, also a 1.3. I had it a couple of years, drove it lots and enjoyed it, but the Granada that replaced it was a big improvement.

A 19 Valver cabrio with red leather should be a fabulous thing, but that car is a dog.

From experience... the radiator, the clutch cable (twice), the gearbox and the electrics. Other than that it was 12 months of understeer city.

Singularly the worst car I've ever owned, and I've had a 996.

The back seat of a Renault 25 is womb-level comfortable.

First Laguna was a nice car, IMO. And a dead cool Touring Car in the green Nescafe livery.

149 mph !! Imagine that !!

I like the way the rear parcel shelf looks quite high ? Could store a load of crap in there.

Has somebody st in the passenger seat ?

Whereas the 19 16v executive I owned was one of the best handling cars I have had. It was a five door hatch though
