1952 VW Bug: I understand why the 50s market fell for this car. Compared to other period propositions the bug offers a complete although basic package which comes to me as stylish even! Surprisingly brisk drive.

So, what about the Triumph TR7:

Triumph TR7 is a beauty. But what is it like to drive? The seat is promising and the interior looks nice. But... is this the car after the TR6? The four is far from anything special and performance is, well: cruising.


The specced TR8 I drove a few months later was a riot though. But then, it was updated at a cost...


I so wanted this to be something special and it just was not. Most available TR7 cars are bad and restoring can be a search jobbie.

It looks like a million Dollars though... Great 70s looker this.

Pon Porsche Leusden (NL) kindly lend me their heritage collection 1968 Porsche 911T 2.7 RSR spec.

It was my eldest daughter's 16th birthday and I took her for a ride in this 1.050 kgs 250 brake hotrod.


Very well put together car. A bit noisy though.

Dutch Police started with 356 and kept on using Porsche for Highway Patrol until the 964. A lot of fandom started right there The cars shown are part of an exstensive collection. Our regular Dawn Raid group was happy to get the tour.

2010 US spec GT3. Owner took me for a 3 hour drive to a local Porsche workshop and I can now say this GT3 is one helluvah allrounder. More racing than rally but what an absolute riot to experience. A bit too much for my liking TBH.
