Mercedes-Benz E 400 4Matic 2017:

Thi is a classic Mercedes.


Control room for the 333 brake 3 litre V6 turbo. Comfy and perfect. Nine speed auto and paddles, Eco, Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes.


It's big: 4,90 m and 1.9 tonne.


Proper four seater: I (1.86m) fit behind my drivers seat.

The R129 is a lovely car, however I had a SL320 (of the same year) and wouldn't have described that as "punchy" so I'm not sure how you could consider the SL280 to be.

It's punchy compared to the R107 500 SL IMO. And then: every car is different.

Injection ditched and on 40 mm Webers.


62 litres of fuel!.


Dogleg box.


VW parts but quite quick with only 950 kgs to move. Torque!


I fitted OK with 1.86 m to take care of.


A drizzle! Monsoon really!
