Why go to all the inconvenience of having to park 20 meters away from the door when there's a nice empty loading bay?
Having had multiple numpties park up against my doors / ding them in supermarket car parks, I’d probably do the same to be fair. Avoid them at all costs as majority of the public just don’t treat the property of others with any thought at all.
For some reason I’ve never had all these parking dings happen. I just choose my space wisely.

No need to park like a knob.
What, like straight in?
I wouldn’t know, I don’t park in loading bays, but I’ll take your experienced word for it.
Yes. Don't know what came over me. But I did have a load on my mind at the time as I recall.hehe

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the Real Good plates, C124PPY plates or BAD PARKING thread:

What is that area for? Doesn't look like there are any loading bays needing a turning circle/extra room. Great place for some extra spaces.

No photos unfortunately, but today I did witness someone without a blue badge park in a disabled bay to use the cashpoint, and a badge holder then proceed to block him in. Fair enough you might say, serves him right. However, as soon as he got out the car it was obvious that this person was not physically impaired, and when challenged on this replied "I'm shopping for my wife, I'm allowed to use her badge". So the guy was angry that he wasn't allowed to fraudulently use the space, and the blockade was rendered somewhat ineffective by the fact the space in front was free, so the other car just drove off. Did mean he left his car blocking the road though, so top marks all round.
I only discovered recently that the badge holder must be in the vehicle. And it is a criminal offence with a record if convicted of misuse.
It's amazing what people don't know about the blue badge scheme. The scheme doesn't apply to private land for example.

How can they be in the car, if the driver has dropped her off at the shop?

But the post did say he was shopping "for" his wife, I am just pointing out the holder doesnt have to be in the car if they have been dropped off. So that is wrong if he is shopping for his wife, just pointing out the obvious.
