So long as there are no loading restrictions then they are free to do what they want. And even if there are you cant blame them, delivery drivers don't have time to be parking miles away from where they are delivering to, thanks to stupidly tight schedules. Do you get annoyed when the bin men block the road in their refuse truck too?

Yes, never easy, but completely blocking the footpath isn't necessary.

Truth be told, there's cars with more than 4x reverse gears.

A lot of bike engined cars have a reverse box, that allows all the forward gears to be used in reverse.

Lots of people making them too.
