This row of houses all have a garage plus an off street parking space. Two are as yet unoccupied but we regularly see 3 different cars parked there (mostly a MINI, sometimes a Volvo closer to the grassed, dropped kerb and the tree), right across from the junction. So if you're turning left you're faced with cars on the wrong side of the road and if you turn right you have to turn onto the wrong side of the road.
All not helped when, like this VW, they park a foot away from the kerb.

Driver in the car with the engine running having deposited two school-age children to do the shopping. Disabled bay, 1 of 2 for this store. Other spaces available just a little bit further away. And they wonder while children are becoming ever more obese.

Everyone knows you’re allowed to park in the disabled and parent with child spaces as long as one of you stays in the car...
^^ Source? Never seen that rule written anywhere.

Everyone does know that most people wouldn’t do it, because disabled drivers and parents with small children know how important these spaces are.

Some people like the non disabled person in the story are just aresholes though.

Take it your sarcasm detector has broken? laugh

I disagree that most people wouldn’t do it though because I can rarely get a parent and child space at supermarkets.
They’re generally full of cars with people who are just waiting whilst someone else shops, those people who are only getting a few things and can’t walk another 10 meters because they’re in a such a hurry or van man who’s on a break, just finished work or just doesn’t care because it’s some st van.

I generally park as far away as possible on my own. But you can guarantee some tt will park next to me meaning I have to get into the car with my little boy on my lap and drive out of the space just so I can get the stting door open enough to get him in the seat.

I’ve also had this happen where some dick has parked next to me and is waiting in the drivers seat. They just watch me struggle and reverse my car out of the space just enough to put my lad in his seat. People just don’t give a st.

Don't they leave the blue lights going if they are?

The runlock has been removed from most vehicles so you would end up with a flat battery fairly quickly. So normally no

I bet the transmission on that didn't enjoy being dragged with all four wheels locked.

OK, let's not park on the forecourt, let's mostly block the pavement instead...

There are no designated parking spaces in front of the shop entrance.

Parked or crashed? School run abandoning.

What's the story there? The pole clearly didn't do all that damage, how on earth do you manage to damage something that badly in a car park?
