Ocean-going bad parking!

When bad parking can lead to a serious dispute...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/01/15/ferry-...

Knob-head media luvvie (Stuart Cain, a video production company director) parks his 12ft long 3-seat RIB "to get fish and chips".

Knob-head ferry "captain" (Oliver Jarvis. 35-year-old ferry master) returns to tie up and offload passengers from the 50ft 118 tonne Maid Of Poole, and loses patience with the selfish tit in the RIB, ramming him out of the way.

Result? A court case (no doubt costing public money) to decide whether Jarvis is guilty of "causing damage to a ship and operating a vessel in a way that could cause injury or destruction".

They sound like a right pair of charmers, imho...

To sum it up...

'Company director attempts to dominate parking space in Poole Harbour. Finds himself vastly outgunned. Domination attempt fails!'

Typical wally behaviour of the "I'll only be 5 minutes" brigade, leading to handbags at dawn...
I read that in Metro today and the only quotes were from the Rib owner, about how he was moving the boat when it was rammed. No context on the argument itself.

Rightly or wrongly, my assumption was similar to yours, - that he likely got all uppity and abusive about moving and was deliberately winding the other guy up.

Hopefully, it will all come out in the courtroom, although the ferry owner will still end up paying.

It's ironic parking. You know, the last thing you expect to see from a stationary car.

When Car A parks at the end of a row of spaces (where they shouldn't!), and Car B turns up and somehow thinks that parking next to Car A is a good idea, even though it's a small car park as it is and makes it nearly enough impossible to manoeuvre around it. Then Car A leaves.

Lots of cars do this automatically.
