To all the clever people who thought it a good idea to park lining the road that runs along side Compton Abbas Airfield today....

Jesus! Anything special going on up at the Airfield?
Vintage Day or something.

Ah right, I knew the Food and drink festival was on that day in Shaftesbury, but Compton Abbas was a bit far for the overflow parking!

Why is the "Give Way"" line so far back? You can't possibly see what is at the junction with that wall there
It's hard to see from that angle, but the access road narrows as you approach the exit - the give way marking is at the point where it essentially becomes narrow enough to require one-way traffic.

Another one from today - yes, the same numpty is parked there again

And a Streetview pic looking the other way

From the local paper, parked down a cobbled path with railings at the bottom

Anyone familiar with Sheffield will recognise the place

Fiesta driver is too important to get wet. So parks on the corner as close to the entrance as possible to do his shopping. I've said before people parking in pick up point annoys me (silver van) but this fiesta has even been too lazy for the pick up point.

Happily I'd got the closest legitimate space to the door.

I’ve often thought about making a windscreen shaped / sized decal (I’m a sign writer) made up of lots of tiny dots and applying it to the windscreen of the dicks that park like this.
To remove it they’d need to remove each dot separately. No real harm done but would inconvenience the owner a fair bit.

The main thing that puts me off is knowing half the morons would drive off with it still in place and get in an accident. Not really what I want on my conscience!

Off topic but a drunk driver, crashed with kids in the car on "November 10 last year" appeared in Mansfield Magistrates Court on March 15th.

https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/local-news...

So he was bailed and allowed to get back behind the wheel until he was banned. silly

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/239236

An instant disqualification as a condition of release from custody can be used in some cases. I suggest that should be all cases of Driving While Under the Influence of Drink or Drugs. The amount of time it takes to get test results or set a court date can be deducted from the ban issued.

I used to believe that if you report a drink driver today you save a life tomorrow. It's more likely that if you report a drink driver today you might save someones life in six months or so. rolleyes

Doesn't the supermarket have parking wardens, that is just beyond belief. I would be tempted to ask them to put out a tannoy saying the car is on fire or something, bloody tards.

Someone commented on the original post on FB - they saw the aged ( est. 70+ ) driver come within mm of ramming another car during his attempt to leave the carpark frown

OK if you are turning right out of or left into the little street where I was staying recently, impossible for an average size car to turn left out or right in.
