Why is it a sarcastic surprise, have the police stood you up previously?
Because it's NOT a surprise!

I've only called the police a few times, I think they have attended once.
I know they are busy (I have friends who are police) but don't say you will do something unless you are going to do it.

And what if they get called away to something more pressing? Would you like some Jo Malone candles and a handwritten apology? Get a grip.

Christ! Who pissed in your tea rolleyes

No, I would prefer them to be realistic about what they can do. Someone manning the 101 line should not tell someone that they WILL get a visit when it's not certain.. I spent far longer on the 101 line than it would have taken to walk out of the police station down the road to see what the problem was.

For once, I agree with something that is happening in GB in 2020.

Not parking per se, just a bloody stupid place to stop to change a wheel

It still shocks me that there are people with so little common sense legally allowed to use the road.

I'd like to think it was for the parking but wonder if it was stolen / cloned or something that's more likely to get the attention it deserves.

People are still defending it though laugh

This is up there with the 4 people in dark clothes stood on the outside of the hard shoulder pre-dawn, between the three cars, no hazards, that had just had a minor bump, on the M9 today.

Has he got his right indicator on instead of the hazards?

Utterly terrible parking for no reason. Pure laziness.

I just click the "Upload an image (beta)" link that appears when I reply, the only thing to check is that the image is under 2MB in size.

Few years back whilst serving in the Army, a female NAAFI employee was being charged (court martial) for what I first thought was a drink driving offence, but it turned out to be dangerous driving. She had driven her car for three and a half mile on the Autobahn, before turning into camp and parking a further half mile away with a tyre missing off her rear wheeleek. Her journey also included at least, five speed bumps and when asked why she hadn’t stopped her reply was “I didn’t realise the tyre was missing”
