We have had this for the last 48 hrs , whilst not completely blocking our drive, it is still an irritation . Local enquiries , reveal no one knows about the car
Local council , ok we will deal with it tumbleweed

Police "not us gov"

Please forget silly suggestions, sausages etc , just thinking about getting tow rope out , but sure not quite legal

This has now come to an end
Yesterday afternoon ,after 2 days of inconvenience, I happened to be looking out of the window whilst on the phone , yet again , to council parking office , when , In a well-orchestrated and rapid manoeuvre , a car pulled up behind the offending vehicle a passenger got out and rapidly got in the parked black Peugeot car, I went to go out and have a blast at the driver, but the engine was started and instantly the car was slammed into gear and wheel spun away , closely followed by the other car .

So fast was the get away they both undercut my neighbour , who at that moment from the correct side of the road was indicating to turn into his drive to the right , they both almost “T “ boned him , he said he was going to follow but so fast was their getaway they were out of sight before he could gather his senses .

There is definitely more to this than just a parked car ,the car ( Monday at least ) was untaxed although tested ,not having access to MID I don’t know about insurance , perhaps the sleuths out there may be able to find out
VRM RJ13WGA , Black Peugeot 106/206

Just to clear up a couple of other comments.
I knew the sight of a caravan would bring out the haters , suck it up guys , there are over half a million caravan users who disagree with you and like to sleep in clean bug and body fluids free bed .Such comments are ignored .

I don’t have a dropped kerb to get the caravan on and off the road , I use a couple of wooden ramps for that . As such I can’t complain about cars blocking the caravan in , my solution is to park one of mine to keep the area clear for my use whenever I intend to use the caravan .
It's probably better they got away quickly. The hasty drop off and collection of car and the fact it's untaxed might point to them being people you're best steering clear of. They obviously dropped the car off quickly as there appears to be a perfectly good space by the bins on the other side of the road.

I'd have though the police would have been interested because it wasn't taxed though? Don't they come and deal with them?

I once had a new fiesta blocking my drive, I was unable to get to work and having knocked on all the neighbours doors (luckily I had a late start so was about 10:30) nobody knew who’s car it was.

Just as I was about to call a taxi I spot the hazards flash so go out and have a bit of a go at the owner (I don’t normally confront people but I was fuming), to be greeted with “Sorry, I’m from the hire company picking the car up, the customer had left it there”
I felt a bit bad for having a go at him and did apologise.

Spotted on the police twitter mentioned above, in the lines at least.

Doesn't look to have much choice to be fair.
The parking is the least of that outfit's problems.
I suspect he's well over the max load for vehicle and trailer

That's a tow-away and £300 fine to the local council job.

You could squeeze past, mind you don't make a nice long scratch from wheelchair against side of the car though wink

Some may say "criminal damage" - I suspect most magistrates/judges would look at the parking and take the side of a disabled person in a wheelchair......

Yes. People take the piss because there are almost never any consequences. Once they start suffering consequences, they may change their actions.

I wish you could get this in to the head of the police.

At least the fine matches the prancing horse sticker on the wing, but I bet the parking fine was way cheaper

I may have been inclined to squeeze past and take her mirror with me, worth reporting I think, if nothing else, a visit from the police does shake some people up.

I personally don't think that vandalism is the answer.

It's not. But when you have year on year of people riding roughshod over your rights because they are bone idle, and when you raise it tell you to fk off, you might feel it is.

Tbf, this was the Wife’s opinion as I contemplated it
I’m my electric chair (plus attached dog) the only way I could have got by was to go on the verge. Unfortunately after all the rain, at best I would have churned up the grass due to the weight and covered my chair in mud and later the carpet, and at worst (and fairly likely) sunk in and got stuck!
This sort of thing happens all the time but it’s quite rare to be told to fk off by a woman hehe
Luckily, as an ex builder, I’ve heard far worse stuff aimed at me over the years smile
On the positive side, after posting on my local Facebook site it’s given them something to get outraged by!

I don't think people park on the pavement cos they are lazy, it's to minimise impeding traffic and the likelihood of their car being scraped by another vehicle.

As such, they've benefited 100% of people using that road, and 98.1% of people are still able to use that bit of pavement.

Is it really that much a crime to cause a minor inconvenience to a minority who lose 5 seconds of their life crossing over or going round despite benefiting everyone else?

Yes, it's a pain when you are trying to use the pavement and can't because some thinks it's acceptable to park like that.

Yes, if you're in that 1.9%. Besides, all the cars behind the mouthbreather seemed to have managed to park on the road.

Just too lazy to find a proper place to park then. Don't want to impede traffic but happy to impede wheelchair users and children in buggies.

When did a person in a wheelchair lose their right to use the pavement the same as everyone else? And just for someone's convenience?

In Stuart's photo, absolutely no need, purely selfish.
