We had a letter through the door from the local constabulary warning residents about the parking around the entrance to our street (off set from the main road that leads up to Weardale). It was getting fairly ridiculous though, a house on the other side of the road (plenty of parking at the front of their place) would regularly park up an L200 on the right and a parade of vehicles on the left from other residents.

The worst being the van (berlingo-sized number) parked up on the left that meant the only way to see what was coming down the road was to creep out and pray someone wasn't doing the billy big bks of not bothering to slow for the 30 limit that starts a mile up the road (this includes loaded artics coming down fully loaded with felled lumber). Though in all fairness to the van driver he's usually parked out front of his place.

I did wonder though why, all of a sudden (pre-letter) there seemed to be a startling lack of vehicles parked up at the side of the road... I wonder how long it'll last.

what I like about the above photo, is a 'parking judgement' has been made by an official warden and ticket issued accordingly.

...... as opposed to a ....... " would be 'internutter' warden " .....making his and forcing that view on others.

Haha,

No, it’s just a nice day in west wales, housing estate built by a beach and on a golf course, so almost Florida.

These ones annoy me, limited parking as all driveways have white lines across the front, but you see same thing in towns where parking on the streets are limited, park at the end you tards.

'Motorist [...] deliberately parked on faded double-yellow lines for FIVE YEARS claiming they are 'invalid' now threatens to sue local council for 'stress' after amassing £400 in fines'
Christ, what a chump.
Interesting one similar near where I live.

The Council, who HATE cars anyway, filled in gaps between the kerb and the road level at junctions for improved wheelchair access (very old part of town). Obviously there are DYLs that follow the corners round from the parking areas to the next one.

However, what this has done is make a clear break in the lines tnad that they do not have the required 'end markings' where the new tarmac has been laid.

One resident has parked behind the parking zone on clear double yellows and has been issued with a ticket every day. He has successfully appealed every single one and they still haven't put the end markings in. Then again, this council is chuffing useless.

Your use of a word which doesn't exist would imply that it isn't yours either wink

Erm - https://www.google.com/search?q=internutter&rl...

Perhaps not in common usage or in a dictionary, but it does exist.

It’s is, but you seem to have missed out some word in the above rant, hence it doesn’t make sense. Even if it does to you.

If that upsets your precious little ego, I guess that is your tough st, isn’t it.

Edit. See question marks.

Sat there for about an hour. I suggested he moved as you can’t walk past. He declined.

I guess some people are just s. There’s no path on the other side either. But there is a grass verge where people sometimes put their cars. Unlike this tool.

Had palm trees in the west of Scotland for a long time.

Gulf stream brings them in, (among other things). Nothing global warming about it.
