And most of the comments haven't gone how he'd hope, either!

He would be pi££ed off to come back to his car minus an offside mirror.

I for one wouldn't even think of leaving my car that far from the kerb.

Personally, I'd park right next to the drivers door. This would make me guilty of bad parking too of course..

Reminds me of an occasion some time ago, when my wife, who is a really, really, good driver, making most guys look like rank amateurs, reversed into a parking spot just north of Oxford Street, in London’s West End.
It had been just a tad tight, but she’d managed it, like the expert that she is, and she said to me, “Is that okay ?”
I opened my door, nearest to the kerb, and saw that there was maybe a 15cm gap, I said “That’s fine, I can walk to the kerb from here.”
She went ballistic!

With your career the above edited would have been more apt.

Nearly 6 inches, hmmmmmmmmm.......... maybe why biggrin

The guy with the Lambo, just read the rest of the article, an obstruction on the pavement so he couldnt park any closer, explains it all, can't park so don't drive, easy.

Self-entitled tt.

Why even own a car like that if you do that when you take it out? It's a car ffs. It's not a precious oil painting that needs to be handled with extreme care.

Ironically, that sort of behaviour draws more attention and makes people want to make a point in return.

What that needed was someone in an old shed parking right up against it. hehe
Amazing, we get the odd roller, Bentley, plus some other upmarket cars in our Sainsbury's, they manage to park in ONE space.
There is a chap who owns the nightclub in my local town and he drives a Lambo. Always parks it on double yellow lines or in taxi spaces etc. Doesn't seem to give a st.
As long as all they can do is fine him, he is probably not worried about paying the fine. Until his car is lifted biggrin

Some arrogant fekker in Glasgow does the same with his roller, parks on DYL's outside where he works, apparantly the recovery trucks cant lift it, too heavy, he just keeps paying the fine.
The guy in Glasgow (phantom Parker) does it as a protest. He’s complained to the council on many occasions that big cars like the phantom don’t fit in parking bays in Glasgow. They did threaten to lift one of his cars so he imported a bigger one that he knew the truck couldn’t lift.

The whole story did put a smile on my face Frank7, I've used similar with Mrs Bobbers, she's a good driver but struggles with reverse parking, she shuffled our car into a space a while ago, I opened my door and there was at least a foot between the car and Kerb, she also asked if it was ok, "yeah I should make it if I take a run up and jump!" I replied, she smiled and said "I'll get out then, give you some space for your run up!!!!"

Must admit I have a tad of understanding.

I had a pristine boxster a good few years ago and after only a few months the doors and wings were peppered with supermarket carpark dents. Took off around a grand of its value at resale.

When I bought the AM i used to park as far away as possible from 'couldnt care less brigade'.

And then I went online for everything and never have to place my current P&J, which took a lot of sacrifice and saving, in jeopardy.

Perhaps if people owned an expensive car they might feel differently ?

Nice car BTW !
Weirdly I think that'll attract more people to try and park next to it. Lol.

I've seen this selfish fker a few times at a Tescos near me, so I actually suspect that they might work there. It's always parked over two bays, which is weird as it's just a generic white goods diesel Golf with fake smaller GTI wheels.

Consistent I'll give them that

Good plan

I reviewed my post above and made a real faux-pas which no one has picked up yet....

Did anyone say "tyre damage" ?

School run Mum parking? I see about 10 a day like that as I walk my daughter to and from school, the local tyre fitters and wheel refurb people must love them.

That said I flagged a woman down the other day who was driving along with a complete flat, apparently she knew all about it and was going to get it sorted, didn't want to engage. It was about a mile to the nearest tyre place and it wouldn't have been open. I'd have been more than willing to chuck the spare on for her.
Woman pulled into a single story car park in an old mini dragging a stationary rear wheel with her, I flagged her down and told her the wheel was ceased, probably brake stuck on. She said "Is that dangerous", I explained it was and as she was parking anyway, call a garage, she thanked me and drove out again still pulling the stationary wheel along the ground
Given minimal on road policing these people are allowed to drive around indefinitely.
