Sainsbury's Garthdee 0730, I am thinking *^+#ing Merc drivers, then I looked closer at the tards abandoned in front of him, the VW on the left even had the driver sat in, wondering why I was taking photoes no doubt.

I do understand it is very difficult to check behind your car......................

In front of the Merc

I would have parked elsewhere, but it was a busy time, with people scrambling to get into the shops first I suppose.

Tricky one - it’s not a busy road in terms of thoroughfare so walking out into the road to get past isn’t the end of the world and I’m sure the parking situation is frustrating for the residents... but vehicles abandoned on pavements make the place look properly scruffy.

Not "tricky" if you're in a wheelchair or pushing a pram.
It's not tricky at all. You park in your front garden, or on the road without obstructing it. If you can't do either, you park somewhere else.
Exactly this. You want to park outside your door so the woman with the pram and two kids or more importantly the blind person has to somehow negotiate your obstruction. I'm alright jack as usual! (I used to have a blind girl walk up my street at a previous address, always made sure she had clear passage past our house).

Anyone who thinks it's not a busy road so it doesn't matter, and that parking is needed on both sides, is welcome to lobby the council for removal of the pavements.

I absolutely agree with you all. I’m all for banning parking on pavements and enforcing parking in these locations.

I can somewhat sympathise with the owner of the car though - Parking on the pavement is not acceptable so their options are to go without a car, make a driveway at their property, or park further away, legally.

For the record. It’s not my car or anyone I know’s car, nor is it the street I live on - I just noted the parking the other day whilst out a run.
And yes, there were 3 or 4 more cars parked in the same fashion up the road.

I can't sympathise one iota. Heaven forfend that someone should have to park further away from their house than the pavement outside it!

Nothing else parked for 5 miles all around.
No real need to even be there according to the reasons for leaving your home.
But if you must park somewhere, might as well block a cycleway dropped kerb while you're abou tit.

Yep agree it's ttish of the highest order, park elsewhere, no excuse to park like that apart from laziness and being a self entitled cock.

That's asking for someone to 'cycle' over the bonnet.

That reinforces my impression of the kind of people that drive those things.

This and the Citroen, sorry DS, above seem like a case of not engaging gear when parking and the handbrake letting go when the pads/discs cool down.

How can you be sure if it's totally flat? I've seen this happen in places which seemed relatively flat.

I gave them a benefit of the doubt. If it really was flat and they parked like that... this would indicate some serious brain damage.
