I have a lot of sympathy with your point of view.My local council were supposed to be banning pavement parking. They did a two year consultation and new legislation was due to go live last month and now they seem to have gone cold on it. What a waste of effort and money, pussies.

This throbber blocked the pavement all day Saturday and Sunday whilst presumably working on the refurb
of the fancy car dealer showroom .
Yes .pedestrians can walk in the layby lane that the car should be in ,but why should they ?
That's a fair point! of the fancy car dealer showroom .

Must be Romans at Burgh Heath having a huge extension after taking over the Ford dealership that was next door. They seem to be doing well in an uncertain financial climate.

They did indeed buy the empty Ford dealer premises ,they had that totally rebuilt to suit their requirements , they moved in and then tore apart the old small showroom for a total refurb . I wondered whether they were pulling it down at one point but they have changed the frontage a little and have yet to resurface the outside area . Showroom won't be any bigger than before .

I wonder what sort of 'sad compo' face the resident will be pulling for the local press when they come out one morning to find their car covered in paint stripper, perhaps coincidently a few weeks after a car had mysteriously been damaged when parked outside their house and next to their warning sign. But you are right about here being some right morons out there who would assume it was the home owner damaged their car.

Looks there was a car in the space when the Crurz abandoned his car in an overflowing Duthie Park car park, cars abandoned in the grass a usual, (means driving over a fairly high park as well), but the car obviously got out fortunately.
Just so selfish.
Send key setting, over. Just so selfish.

Little rant, those who abandon the cars like this, saw them park up and foxtrot oscar, another gap further along combined would allow another two cars to park.
And petrol cars who park in the one bay marked for EV’s only. Two of them, one when I parked and one when I came back.

That's pretty poor signage to be fair. No painted signs on the tarmac, a charger that looks like it could be some form of parking meter and (as far as i can see) a small sign stuck on a lamppost indicating the bay is for electric vehicles only. I thought the same so had a googly. You can just about see it's marked as such on the floor .. or at least it was last year when Google captured the scene.

Do they limit the time that each car is allowed to park in a charging bay?
Otherwise, how do they stop a Electric car from overstaying the space and depriving other people who need a charge.
You have to park as well so that would limit it, but some will abuse it, then again they are not fast charging stations so probably can’t finish charging during your stay.Otherwise, how do they stop a Electric car from overstaying the space and depriving other people who need a charge.

My favourite is in the US where the bays are marked as "green vehicles only" and watching someone with a green coloured car park there.
