My local Tesco last Friday afternoon.

Couple of tractors/works vans either side would have been nice...
Could it be that its broken down and left their ready to be picked up? Im sure the AA wouldn't leave the car in a parking space if they are recovering it/onward transporting it..

Here's one from this afternoon at our local Tesco.

She spent a good minute manouvering into this position. No child of course. She noticed me taking the photo and stormed over, claiming that she was picking up her daughter and grandson. Maybe so, but a dreadful piece of parking. What about the car on her left? How are they supposed to get their kid in?

Apparently I was also breaching the Data Protection Act rolleyes So she took a photo of me...bring it on biggrin

Three spaces next to disabled bays reduced to two……..

No I’d happily squeeze the old focus next to that no problem
Ha, just changed to a Focus myself, tempted though.
It’s an old girl on an 08 plate, good for the dog, tip and Asda. Park it anywhere and not worry if it gets another scratch
Mine is a 13 plate, replaced the 02 Volvo, getting expensive on repairs, well pleased with the Focus, especially with mpg around town and of course long trips.

It’s a shame when decent car owners have dog meat for brains.

Sometimes it's deliberate ' I'm keeping plenty of space so no one opens their door into my pride and joy' type mentality.

I've seen it posted on here before 2 up to 4 spaces used so that their car is nowhere near anyone else's.

Understandable. But the solution isn't to be selfish and inconsiderate. I can't get my head around that mentality, I'd rather have the dings than be a towards others.

I find it's nearly always possible to find a safe space nearby. Fan shaped spaces on corners, in line rather than bay, next to a pillar or other barrier and... ahem...end spaces! I can see one behind him in the pic ffs just like the red car to his right who has left plenty of space to park next to... irked

On the other hand, maybe had he tried to get the thing into the space next to the red car, even if he didn't hit the red car whilst parking/abandoning what's the bet the offside (can't say driver's door in this case) front door would have hit the red jobbie.

An admirable attempt to see the best in people but stretches credibility somewhat. smile

I was more thinking how much better it is for the incompetent (or whatever you might call them) to let us all know by their actions of what they are capable, or not.
What's really needed is a big sky finger pointing at them which follows them at all times, so the rest of us can take avoiding action.

No photo as I was driving, but someone decided to park their Nissan GTR on the hatchings by the central reservation on the M6 last night, just where the M6 and M6 Toll meet each other.

No lights, about 1am… didn’t look crashed, just seemed to have hastily pulled over and been left. Most odd, I wondered if it had been nicked and abandoned.

Public footpath - yes

Main route from a large holiday complex to the beach - yes
Driver of WL19JDX a moron - probably

The gap to the right between the van and a small Cornish hedge was less than a foot wide, still saved them having to walk about 20m from somewhere sensible to park.

What a pair of absolute massive weapons whoever owns those vans.

I find parking properly not near anyone else is also a good way to make sure you don't get door dings. Always think parking like this will just attract someone who'll squeeze their car into the remaining space, increasing the chance of the door dings they're trying to avoid.
