Nope. Look you guys are all wrong. I mean did you not see all the yellow and orange warning lights on the dash???? I am Amazed it managed to do even that short run without blowing up...
Not sure if you were making a serious comment about the warning lights but in case you were (or for someone that doesn't know better) they are the traction control/ESC/Forward Collision Warning etc off warning lights that you get when you switch into Race mode. All electronic assistance is switched off in Race, hence the warnings. It also, rather nicely, tells you that the best experience in Race is in Manual gearbox mode.

Just also out of interest did a price comparison between the M3 Competition pack and QV and tried to make sure spec was roughly exactly the same albeit I think I may have added a few things on the alfa the BMW doesnt have such as a carbon steering wheel?
BMW came out at 74.500 and QV came out at 72.200 so pretty closely matched in price.

Dependant on track/driver/etc. Unsurprising, all three are aimed at each other.

Mine was retail 65K, cost 59,980
Similar. £65k and got for just under £59k.And some points worth mentioning if they haven't been mentioned before. This is a flaw a lot of early press cars had and related to application of the brakes and accelerator at the same time. There was a massive software update applied to most cars in May/June (some are still to be done) that takes 9 hours and resolves a lot of the early niggles. In terms of mechanical reliability, they seem to be pretty darn strong, but there is a LOT of software going on there as well and we seem to be in beta testing for now!
RHD Giulia's also have a fundamental design flaw that's going to make electrical issues even more common. LHD cars drain the water from the passenger wiper spindle scuttle into free space in front of the driver where few wires or connectors are present, just steering gear. Most of the connectors and the two ECUs are towards the right of the bulkhead as a result. Can you see where this is going? Yup. Alfa reversed the scuttle design so the drainage is now on the right, but didn't move the ECU and connectors! This does need addressed and ASAP. In the meantime, the more adventurous of us are making our own drainage improvements until there is a proper fix. One of the Alfa Owner members made this video...

The Guilia QV is an unreliable heap of st..

Note, that's the same Giulia that PH had and slagged off. They are all RJ66K** registrations. The Guilia QV is an unreliable heap of st..

I'd be pretty pissed off if I had to re-engineering the drainage myself having paid good money for the car. I hope they recall every car if/when they have an approved fix.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp9Hz5awM7E

In PH defence, they didn't slag off the Giulia. They just nit-picked and kept using a flawed example in a non scientific/subjective test.
And kept repeating the same mistake despite knowing it kept causing an error until the car got really pissed at them!If it had been a German problem, would it they have managed a re-run in the 4 months following?

Side B of your Conspiracy EP plays exactly like Side A If it had been a German problem, would it they have managed a re-run in the 4 months following?
Alfa don't need any help in sabotaging a perfectly good car and Haymarket certainly aren't in the business of creating the scenario to placate ze Germans.

And not sure on the German angle - the treatment of a software glitch on the S4 was treated very differently?
