Or how about a cat c Ferrari 456 for £40k - spec, colour seems spot on and if the repairs are fully documented, it's a very cheap way into a Ferrari.

it's lovely, but very "brown".If you want a good four seater that looks & feels special then it has to be one of these:
Maserati Granturismo 4.7 MC Shift just starting it will put a smile on your face (more so if you add the Larini system)

Just realised you said you're in London so in that case get the 4.7S with the ZF Auto

Being a Cat.C it'll never be worth massive money, but what a lovely thing. Great colour scheme.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302388121870
So many to choose from.
I saw an Audi RS3 sportback the other day and I was pretty impressed with the way it looked. It must have been a pretty new model. I love classic cars too, but in my experience they are a money pit, unless you are mechanically minded, or loaded.

I have the lesser VW R estate and love it. It's fast, practical, fun to drive, 4wd. (ticks all the boxes, especially with the DSG, which I swore I would never have, now I wouldn't have manual again)
