The video is not conclusive proof. Can we just agree the i3 is pretty quick?

Utterly destroys?... Hardly. The M3 lit up his tyres, but as soon as he got traction it was all over.
0-30mph.

0-62mph the i3 is something in the low 7seconds which isn't fast and the E92 M3 sub 5 seconds. But 0-30mph i3 destroys /beats the E92 M3

Does anyone have the autocar
0-10
0-20
0-30
Etc up to the 0-xxmph max speed so we can all see clearly what it will do in test conditions v argue the toss on a video.

Renault ZoE 0-30 is 4 secs after that most EV's bottom out on gearing, Tesla's are good for about 100mph against a ICE then they loose again probably against gearing.

In winter we put the car on a pre-heat to try and maximize battery range by heating the car when plugged in we loose 20-30% range in winter due to the cold.

I have also had an i3 and again very quick off the lights. C63 was rather bemused by this!!

Out of interest how much charge does regeneration put back in to the batteries? Do you see the battery percentage going back up if you descend a long steep hill? Not expecting much, but one or two percent maybe?

0-30 is always about the launch. You could beat a poorely launched m3 in a 1.2 litre sh*tbox.

An i3 wouldn't even see which way an M3 went after those first 2 seconds..........

Mrs layercake, has a leaf and i hate to admit I do like it, it's like a electric dodgem, quiet, smooth and instant power, I have had it up to 102 MPH, and 0 - 60 is very very quick pretty sure well under 7 seconds, surprises alot of people. Great for local use no tax no fuel, great deals over on the speakEV forum, last time I checked you could be zooming about in one of these for less than a ton per month !

11.5 seconds. I had one for a couple of years at work, I thought it felt like the milk float posted above. Flat and boring.

Welshbeef's point still stands - I have a Leaf and it's quite impressive the way it can pull away from a dead-stop.... like at traffic lights etc.

Hard to tell, most EV have a guess-o-meter and battery level symbology. I descend almost immediately when leaving the office and add a good 4 miles to my range.

It's like a TGA Shoprider mobility scooter, with all the options !

I only half joking, my mate deals in Scooters and I have moved load of them for him and been in a Tesla, similar feel, not a bad thing, electric motors make even a V12 feel a bit lumpy.

I don't mean emotionally, what are the driving charectaristics?

Never having driven an electric car I have this idea that the accelerator is like a switch, off or on. Probably wildly wrong.

How easy is it to make smooth and progressive progress? Do you get engine braking? Is there any need to warm up any of the engine or car components?

Is it necessary to adjust your driving style?

What do passengers say about the ride, noise etc?

Im interested to know.

Thanks.

Downloaded the data from our leaf when we first had it. about 1/3 of the energy used comes fro re-gen.
