Great story here on the Audi Q7...

The Merc W126 may not be the most bad ass police car, but you can trust Mercedes's attention to detail to produce the coolest door card modification ever....

Bullet proof as well just in case it all gets a bit large...

I remember getting stopped in Peterborough, 1992, in my mk3 XR3i by an unmarked magenta Sapphire Cosworth

Unfortunately, Herefordshire Constabulary had not quite got the idea of a fast pursuit car (I've seen it and it is genuine :O)

Saw one of these tooling about on The Embankment recently, didn't say Met on it anywhere though, so assume a demonstrator. Looked ace.
Not a fan of the F-Pace but that looks rather good. I'm sure Jaguar would like to sell a lot like that but not to the public frown

Too young to remember that advert, but the photo you've posted... did they keep the train in that livery? And its still available somewhere to see?

Also, it must be said that the Battenburg livery is, uh, outstanding.

Anecdotally speaking, I feel that it's a design feature that truly adds value. It's used now in several more countries. You'd think that every police / EMS service the world over would be copying it.

Sweden had no speed limit up to 1967 so obvs the cops had Porsches.

Some slighty slower (but stylish) metal aswell.

Mersey Tunnel Police , more recently Discovery with no spare wheel mounted on rear door.

They could tow out broken down vehicles which were causing obstructions

They have also had a unit with carriages for getting to trespass incidents
